How to fix Diablo 4 ‘can’t use this content’ error on PS5

When playing Diablo 4 on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console, you may end up seeing the following error message:

“Can’t use this content. Can’t connect to the server to verify your license. Wait for a while, and then try again.”

To see how you can fix this specific licensing problem, you can take a look at this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

1. For the first step, you should make sure that your Blizzard.net account is linked to the PlayStation Network account you used to purchase the game.

You can find out connected accounts on the Battle.net Connected Account page.

It is important to note that you aren’t able to game share Diablo 4 during the Early Access period, which ends on June 6, 2023. After that date, you should be able to game share Diablo 4 with another account on a different PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console.

2. If you are sure that you are using the correct PlayStation Network and Blizzard.net account, then you check if you have Console Sharing enabled. You can do so by taking the following steps:

  • Press and hold the PS button on the DualSense to bring up the home screen of the PS5.
  • From there, select the gear icon that can be found on the top right side of the screen.
  • Inside the Settings menu, you first need to select Users and Accounts.
  • On the left side of the Users and Accounts. Menu, select Other.
  • You then need to select Console Sharing and Offline Play on the right side of the same screen.
  • If the Console Sharing and Offline Play screen shows that this feature is currently disabled, then you can try enabling it.

3. You can also try restoring your game licenses. In order to do so, go back to the Settings menu of your PS5. From there, select Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses > Restore.

4. There is a possibility that you the Diablo 4 authentication servers are currently down or suffering from other issues. This can be common when there are a lot of players trying to log into the game.

To see if there are currently any problems with the servers, we recommend that you follow the Blizzard Entertainment North America Customer Support Twitter page.

If the “‘can’t use this content” issue is related to the authentication system, then you won’t be able to play Diablo IV until the servers get fixed by the development team.

What to do if you are stuck in the Diablo 4 ‘queued for game’ screen

When trying to log into your Battle.net account for Diablo 4, you may notice that it will stay stuck at the “Queued for game – Start game pending …” screen. To see how you can get potentially get past this menu and then load into your save file, you can take a look at this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

1. For the first step, you can try selecting the Cancel option and then try to log in again.

2. If you the game still freezes up at the “Queued for game – Start game pending …” screen, then you can try restarting your game.

If you are playing Diablo 4 on your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, then you should make sure you remove it from the Quick Resume queue. Otherwise, you won’t be able to restart. In order to do so, press the Xbox logo button on the controller and then move the cursor over to the Diablo 4 icon. From there, press the Menu button on the controller and then select Quit.

3. You can also power cycle your home network devices.

In order to do so, turn off your game console. Afterwards, turn off or unplug your modem, router and other networking devices. After waiting for a few minutes, turn your modem, router and other networking devices back on again.

Once your home internet has gone back online, turn on your game console, open Diablo 4 and then try to sign into your account.

4. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have the latest patch installed for the game as the new update may fix the “Queued for game” infinite loading error.

5. There is also a possibility that there are currently some issues with the online servers of the game. Keep in mind that the latest title from the Diablo series requires an online connection even if you are playing it by yourself.

To see if there is a problem with the servers, we recommend that you follow the official Blizzard Entertainment North America Customer Support Twitter page.

If the servers are down and/or undergoing maintenance, then you have to wait until the development team fixes them before trying to sign into your account in Diablo 4.

What to do if you can’t download Diablo 4 Deluxe or Ultimate Edition on Xbox

After making your purchase, you may not be able to download Diablo IV Deluxe Edition or Diablo IV Ultimate Edition on your Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. Instead, you may get an error code saying that they are having trouble getting your stuff and that you should try again later.

You can check out this guide at Seeking Tech to see how you can get this game downloaded and installed.

Before we start, it is important to note that base download of Diablo 4 is the same regardless if you are getting the Standard, Deluxe or Ultimate Edition. The Deluxe Edition content or Ultimate Edition content should be unlocked once you are signed into your Battle.net account. Therefore, you shouldn’t be alarmed if Diablo IV isn’t labeled as the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition.

1. For the first potential solution, we recommend checking your game library. In order to do so, you can try taking the following steps:

  • Press the Xbox logo button on the controller.
  • In the quick menu, select “My games & apps.”
  • Afterwards, select “See all.”
  • In the Games section, check to see if Diablo 4 is already installed on your Xbox console.
  • If it is, move the cursor over to the game’s icon and then press the Menu button on your controller.
  • Next, you need to select “Manage game and add-ons.”
  • From the “Manage – Diablo IV” screen, select Updates.
  • If there is an update available, make sure you download and install the update.

2. If Diablo 4 isn’t already installed on your Xbox, then you can try going back to its product page of the game on the Microsoft Store App.

If you don’t see the option to download the game near the top, then we suggest that you scroll down until you get to the “In this bundle” row. From there, select Diablo IV.

Hopefully, you should be able to download the game from the next screen.

3. You can also go back to the aforementioned “My games & apps” screen and then select the “Full library” option. From the “Full library” switch over to the “Owned games” tab. Afterwards, see if you are able to find and download Diablo 4 from there.

4. Furthermore, you can try downloading the game from the Xbox App or Xbox Store website. You will need to sign into the same Xbox Live account you used to purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo IV.

How to find missing Diablo 4 Deluxe or Ultimate Edition content

If you downloaded the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo 4, you may have a hard time finding the extra content included with the more expensive version of this action role-playing game. To see how you can locate these DLC bonuses, you can take a look at this guide from Seeking Tech.

1. Before we begin, it is very important to note that the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition contents do not require a separate download. Instead, these are unlocked once you are signed into your Battle.net account in the game.

Therefore, you will end up download the standard version of Diablo IV as there isn’t a separate download for the more expensive releases.

2. It is also very important to note that you can’t share this bonus content with a different Battle.net account. Instead, these extras are tied to the account that was used to make the purchase.

3. Depending on where you are in the main campaign, you may not be able to access the in-game bonuses. For the uninformed, you will get the following extras based on the version you purchased:

Diablo IV Standard Edition:

  • Light Bearer Mount

Diablo IV Deluxe Edition:

  • Light Bearer Mount
  • Temptation Mount
  • Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor
  • Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock

Diablo IV Ultimate Edition:

  • Light Bearer Mount
  • Temptation Mount
  • Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor
  • Accelerated Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock
  • Wings of the Creator Emote

The Wings of the Creator Emote won’t be unlocked until you complete the prologue in Diablo 4. Afterwards, you should be able to find it in the action wheel, which you can access by pressing the up directional pad button if you are playing with a controller or by pressing the E eye if you are playing with a keyboard and mouse.

The Light Bearer Mount, Temptation Mount and Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor can only be unlocked after you gain the ability to ride a horse in the campaign. In order to do so, you have to get to the Act 4 in the story. Once you earn your first horse, go to a stable to find the Light Bearer Mount, Temptation Mount and/or Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor bonuses.

For the Season Pass Unlocks, you have to wait until Diablo 4 gets its first season of content before you can use these bonuses.

4. If your Deluxe or Ultimate Edition content is still missing after trying all of the aforementioned steps, then we suggest that you contact the Activision Blizzard Support team to take a look at your account and to get direct support.

How to fix Diablo 4 rubber banding, stuttering and lag issues on PS5

When playing Diablo IV, you may notice that there are some networking connection issues such as rubber banding, stuttering in addition to some general lag. To see how you can potentially fix these problems with this action role-playing game, you can check out this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

1. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you are connecting your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition over a wired Ethernet cable. By doing so, you should get a faster and more stable connection that should lead to less problems when playing Diablo 4.

2. If you are limited to only a Wi-Fi connection, then you can try moving your PS5 closer to the Wi-Fi access point. You should also remove any physical objects that may be blocking the direct line of sight between the two.

Other wireless devices in the same vicinity may interfere with your console’s internet connection. Therefore, you can try turning off the other wireless electronics to see if the issues in the game go away.

3. Furthermore, avoid using your internet connection to stream or download at the same time when playing Diablo 4 as these activities may cause the rubberbanding, stutters and/or latency.

In these cases, try to pause or cancel the other internet connections as these could be taking up too much of your bandwidth.

4. If your internet appears to be fine enough to be playing the action RPG without any problems, then you can try restarting your game. By doing so, you will log out of the server and the log back in again. Hopefully, the new server connection should end up being more stable.

To restart your game on PS5, open the home screen by pressing and holding the PS button on the DualSense. From there, move the cursor over to the Diablo IV icon and then press the Options button on the controller. Next, select the Close Game option from the small pop-up window.

Finally, open the game again and then connect to the game server to see if you can get a smoother experience.

5. If you are playing online with others in co-op, then the internet connections of the other players may be causing the problems.

In this case, you can try telling your co-operative friends to follow the aforementioned steps in this guide to see if they can get a better internet connection in Diablo 4.

6. If you are still running into the rubber banding, jittering and/or lag errors, then there is not much else you can do but to wait until development team at Blizzard either fixes their servers or releases a patch for the game.

To manually download a patch for the action RPG on your PlayStation 5, go back to the home screen of your console. Once you get there, move the cursor over to the Diablo IV icon and then press the Options button. Finally, you need to select Check for Update from the small pop-up menu.

How to find missing Diablo IV microtransaction unlocks

In Diablo 4, you can purchase the following microtransactions:

  • Crypt Hunter Pack
  • 200 Platinum Pack
  • 500 Platinum Pack
  • 1000 Platinum Pack
  • 2800 Platinum: 2500 + 300 Platinum Bonus Pack
  • 5700 Platinum: 5000 + 700 Platinum Bonus Pack
  • 11500 Platinum: 10000 + 1500 Platinum Bonus Pack

If these DLC packs aren’t showing up in your Blizzard.net account after you made your purchase, then you can take a look at this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech to see how you can properly get the content you paid for.

Based on our experience, the microtransactions won’t be unlocked if you bought the DLC with the game still opened or suspended. In this case, you will have to close Diablo IV and then open it again. Once you are able to log into your account, you should be able to find your downloadable content.

On the PlayStation 5, you can restart by pressing and holding the PS button to go to the home screen. From there, move the cursor over to the Diablo IV icon and then press the Options button. Afterwards, select the Close Game option. Once the game has closed, open it again. Alternatively, you can also simply restart your console.

On the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, you need to press the Xbox logo button to open the quick menu. From there, move the cursor to the Diablo IV icon and then press the Menu button. Finally, select Quit. A simple console restart will not work for the Xbox Series consoles as the game will be put in the Quick Resume queue. Instead, you have to manually quit the game before you can open it again.

When it comes to the Diablo 4 Crypt Hunter Pack, it is important to note that you won’t be able to access the Liath Icehowl mount until you unlock the ability to ride mounts in the campaign.

Furthermore, you won’t be able to share your DLC with other players. Instead, these unlocks will only appear on the Blizzard.net account used to make the purchase. The other player will have to make their own purchases if they want the same extra content in the action RPG.

If your microtransaction unlocks are still missing from your account, then we recommend that you contact the Blizzard Support team. Make sure you have a copy of your receipt ready just in case they need proof of purchase.

To find out more about these Diablo IV DLC packs, you can take a look at this article.

How to fix controller freezing issues with PS VR2 version of Beat Saber

When playing the PlayStation VR2 version of Beat Saber, you may encounter an issue where the Left or Right PS VR2 Sense Controller will stay stuck in pplace for a few second before tracking normally again. To see you can stop your motion controls from freezing in this game, you can take a look at this troubleshooting guide from Seeking Tech.

1. For the first step, we recommend taking a look at your lighting setup. If your room is too dark or too bright, then your virtual reality headset may have a hard time keeping track of your Sense Controllers. Therefore, you should avoid looking directly at overly bright lights in addition to making sure that your room isn’t too dim.

2. If you think that your lighting is fine, then we suggest that you enable the Tracking Support feature. In order to do so, you need to take the following steps:

  • Return to the home screen menu of your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition system. You can go there quickly by pressing and holding the PS logo button on either of your Sense Controllers.
  • From the home screen menu, select the gear icon found on the top right corner to head into Settings.
  • In Settings, select Accessories.
  • From the Accessories screen, select PlayStation VR2. If you don’t see this option, make sure that your headset is turned on.
  • On the right side, you need to scroll down and then make sure that Tracking Support is enabled.

By turning on this feature, a border will be added to your television screen. If you are staring straight at your TV while playing Beat Saber, then you should be able to get better controller tracking.

3. The 1.003.00 patch of Beat Saber on PS VR2 seems to be more susceptible to controller tracking issues. Unfortunately, there is currently no way you can revert to an older version of the game.

With that said, the development team may eventually fix this issue through a future patch.

To check if there is a new update return to the home screen of your PS5. From there, move the cursor over to the Beat Saber icon and then press the Options button on your controller. If done correctly, you should open a pop-up window for the music rhythm game, which is where you can then select the Check for Update option.

Hopefully, the new title update will fix the saber freezing issues.

How fix Diablo 4 Deluxe and Ultimate Edition game sharing issues

If you want to game share the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of Diablo IV, then you may run into issues when the other player tries log into the game with a different account. To see how you can potentially fix this sharing issue, you can take a look at troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

Can you game share Diablo IV during early access?

Unfortunately, a community manager at Activision Blizzard has confirmed that you won’t be able to game share Diablo 4 during its early access period. That benefit is tied to the PlayStation Network account that you used to purchase the game.

For the uninformed, the early access period should last from June 2nd through June 6th. After that, you should be able to share your digital copy with another player without any issue.

If you don’t want to wait that long, then you can have the other player play with you via local couch co-op. They should be able to create their own Battle.net account or use an existing one.

Once the early access period ends, the other player can then play on their own console via game share. Since the save data is hosted over the cloud, they will be able to transfer their progress from the local co-op sessions to their own game.

If you are playing on a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5, then you can use a feature called Share Play in order to play Diablo 4 during early access with another player over the internet. While this feature has a 60 minutes time limit per session, you can start a new session immediately after the current one ends. So, if you can’t play locally with the other player, then this is the next best option if you have the PS4 or PS5 version.

You can find the full statement from the Activision Blizzard community manager below (via the U.S. Blizzard forums):

Users who purchase a Deluxe/Ultimate Edition on an account should use that same account to host couch co-op sessions during the Early Access period. This ensures the guest player can join and participate in co-op.

Can you share the Diablo IV Deluxe or Ultimate Edition bonus content?

Unfortunately, we can confirm that you won’t be able to share the bonus DLC content that came with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Diablo 4.

These extras are tied to your Battle.net account. As a result, it can’t be transferred to a different Battle.net account.
