How to fix Diablo 4 crashing and freezing issues on PS5

The PlayStation 5 version of Diablo IV may occasionally crash and/or freeze. You may also see a CE-108255-1 error code pop-up on your console. If these keeps happening to you, then you can take a look at this guide from Seeking Tech to see how you can fix your issues.

1. For the first step, see if you are able to restart your game.

You can do so by pressing and holding the PS button to open the home screen. From there, move the cursor over to the Diablo IV icon and then press the Options button to open the pop-up window. Finally, select Close Game. Once you exit out, open it again to see if you are still encountering any crashing.

2. If the game isn’t responding to your button inputs, then you can try pressing and holding the power button of your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console to shut it down.

3. If the console isn’t letting you shut it down, then you may need to unplug it from the power outlet. If you do so, you will need to go through the rebuild database process the next time you start it up.

4. The crashing or freezing issues could be related to the internal temperature of your PS5 getting too hot.

If you believe that this is the case, then you can give your console more air space. Ideally, the system should have at least four inches of free space on all sides.

You may also want to consider cleaning the internals as well if it looks dusty as the particles could be hindering the air flow needed to dissipate the heat.

5. You should also make sure you have enough room on the console storage or M.2 SSD storage. Otherwise, the drive being too full could lead to performance issues.

To check how much free space you have, go to the Settings menu of your PlayStation 5 and then select Storage. You should leave around 8.25 GB of free space if you have Diablo 4 installed on the console storage.

If the game is installed on the M.2 drive, then you should leave at least 10% off free space.

6. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have the latest patch installed for this action RPG as it may help fix the crashes or freezes.

You can manually download an update by going to the home screen of your PS5, moving the cursor over to the Diablo IV icon, pressing the Options button and then selecting Check for Update from the pop-up menu.

Hopefully, the new patch will make the crashing and/or freezing in the game less frequent.

7. Of course, you should also make sure you update your console to the latest system software as a new release may add general stability improvements that could lead to less crashes.

To manually update your PlayStation 5, start off by heading over to its Settings menu. From there, select System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings > Update System Software > Update Using Internet.

8. If your console is crashing when playing other games, then you may have a hardware related issue. In this case, you may have to send your PS5 in for repair.

How to change the Street Fighter 6 voice and subtitle language

What voice languages are supported in SF6?

At launch, you can only change the voice language in Street Fighter VI to either English or Japanese.

How to change the voice language

In order to change the language the character speaks in this fighting game, you need to take the following steps:

1. If you haven’t done so already, head to the Mode Select menu.

2. From there, press the Options button if you are using a DualSense/DualShock 4 controller or Menu button if you are using an Xbox game pad to open the Multi Menu.

3. Next, you need to go to Options from the Multi Menu.

4. Inside of the Options screen, use the L1/R1 on PlayStation or LB/RB buttons on Xbox to change tabs until you get to Language.

5. From the Language tab, you first need to select Voice Settings. This will let you change the language of your avatar, the World Tour mode as well as other scenarios.

By default, this is set to English if you are playing the game in the U.S. and other western regions. You can also set this to Japanese if you would like to hear the dialogue in a different language.

6. Once you are done with Voice Settings, select to FH/BH Cabinet Match Voice Language Settings from the same Language tab in the Options screen.

Here, you can change the language for the voices you hear during the Fighting Ground and Battle Hub matches. By default, this is also set to English with Japanese as the alternate choice.

7. Once you are done, press the circle or B button to exit the Options menu.

8. When asked to confirm your voice language changes, select the Yes option.

1. Go to the Mode Select screen.

2. Open the Multi Menu.

3. Head into Options.

1. For the first step, we recommend touching your Xbox Series X to see if it feels hot.

If your console’s temperature gets too high, then it may be leading to software crashes. In this case, make sure you have enough free air space, which is at least four inches, on all sides of your console so that it gets enough ventilation to remove the hot air generated by the internal chips.

2. If the internal or expanded solid state drive gets too full, then it may lead to performance issues. To avoid this problem, make sure you leave enough free space on the drive where Diablo IV is installed.

If you have the game installed on the console storage, for example, then you should have at least 100 GB of free space.

To check the about of free space on your storage drives, go to the Settings menu of your Xbox Series X. from there, select System on the left column and then “Storage devices” on the right side on the same screen.

If you don’t have enough free space, then you can use the aforementioned menu to uninstall contents.

3. There have been reports that using elixirs will cause the game to crash shortly afterwards. Therefore, we suggest that you avoid using these items until a new title update for the game made available for download and installation.

4. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have the latest patch installed for this title.

You can manually check if a new update is available by moving the cursor over to the Diablo IV icon from either the guide menu or home screen. Next, press the Menu button on the controller and then select “Manage game and add-ons” from the pop-up window. Finally, select Updates from the Manage – Diablo IV screen.

4. Of course, you should also make sure that you have the latest system software installed for your Xbox Series X as well.

To check if a new firmware is available, open the Settings menu of your console. From there, select System on the left side and the Updates to the right. You can then manually download the new system software version, if there is one available, from the System –Updates menu.

Hopefully, the new firmware makes the console more stable, which should lead to less crashes.

In order to stop this visual bug, you should dismiss your minions before talking to another person. By doing so, you should no longer see any chain symbols.

Of course, you should also make sure you have the latest patch downloaded for the game. This flashing symbol glitch has been widely reported since the beta tests. Hopefully, the development team will eventually fix this problem.

To manually update Diablo 4 on PlayStation consoles, go to the home screen of these systems and then move the cursor over to the game’s icon. Afterwards, press the Options button on your DualShock 4 or DualSense and then select Check for Update.

Can you share Street Fighter 6 DLC?

If you read the description on the PlayStation Store for any of the available add-ons for Street Fighter VI, you should see a line that states that game sharing is not allowed for DLC. This is because the add-on is tied to the PlayStation Network account used.

Even if the PSN account used for the purchase is a Family Manager. The rest of the accounts on your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 won’t be able to gain access to the DLC even if they are playing from the same console. Instead, you will have to logged into the game with Family Manager account.

The same benefit should also be applicable for the Xbox Live account if you are playing on an Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X.

What’s the difference between SF6 Drive Tickets, Fighter Coins and Zenny?

What are Drive Tickets?

A Drive Ticket is an in-game virtual currency that you can earn by completing specific challenges in Street Fighter VI. You can find these challenges by going to the Rewards section in the Multi Menu. Afterwards, switch over to the Challenges tab.

  • 610 Fighter Coins – $11.99
  • 1,250 Fighter Coins – $23.99
  • 2,750 Fighter Coins – $49.99

Fighter Coins can also be obtained as rewards for completing certain objects in the Fighters Pass. At launch, the Fighters Pass rewards aren’t currently available; therefore, these coins can only be purchased with real cash.

What is Zenny?

Zenny is a virtual currency that is exclusive to the World Tour mode. For the uninformed, this is a new single-playing campaign that lets you explore the locations and meet legendary characters from the Street Fighter franchise via your user created avatar.

You can use these to buy gear, cosmetics as well as food and drinks.

Zenny can be acquired through the following methods:

  • Complete missions and quests
  • Fulfill the listed conditions in fights
  • Selling items in your inventory in shops
  • Partake in part-time minigame jobs
  • Open chests
  • Found in the environment

How to disable crossplay in Street Fighter 6

By default, Street Fighter 6 supports cross network play. As a result, players on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X can all be matched up with each other online.

On the PlayStation consoles, you will need to subscribe to PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, PlayStation Plus Deluxe or PlayStation Plus Premium in order to play with others online.

For the Xbox Series systems, you have to be a member of either Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Gold) to play online matches.

Method #1

For the first method, you can take the following steps:

1. Go back to the Mode select screen if you aren’t there already.

2. From there, open the Multi Menu. If you are using a PlayStation controller, then you can do so by pressing the Options button. For the Xbox controllers, you need to press the Menu button instead.

3. Once you get to Multi menu, select Options.

4. Inside the Options menu, you should be in the Game tab. If not, use the L1/R1 buttons on the PlayStation gamepad or LB/RB buttons on the Xbox gamepad to change tabs until you get to the correct location.

5. You should be able to find Crossplay setting.

Method #2

For the second method, you can do the following:

Go to the Battel Hub lobby.

From there, open the Matchmaking menu.

You should be able to see and adjust the Crossplay Settings from there.

By disabling cross-play, PS4 and PS5 players can only be matched up online with each other. If you are playing on Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X, then you can only play with players on these two Xbox consoles. For PC players, you can only play with others that are also playing on computers.

Street Fighter 6 offline limitations guide

Street Fighter VI offline modes

If you decide to play SF6 without connecting to the internet, or without subscribing to PlayStation Plus/Xbox Live Gold, then you will still be able to play the following modes:

  • World Tour – This is a brand-new single player mode where you can create your own avatar and explore the world of Street Fighter.
  • Arcade Mode – The classic single player mode where you fight against consecutive AI opponents to progress through the story of the character you are playing. Keep in mind that you won’t get any completion rewards if you are playing this mode without being connected to the Capcom servers.
  • Versus – This mode allows you to partake in One on One or Team Battles. You can either fight against the computer or play with another player.
  • Special Matches – This is a specialized mode that adds special rules and objectives to the matches. You can play against another player or against the AI.
  • Practice – This will allow you to learn and practice your moves for any characters in Street Fighter 6. You should be able to pick between Training, Tutorials, Character Guides and Combo Trails.

Street Fighter 6 online requirements

In order to play the other modes in this fighting game, you need to connect and sign into your Capcom ID account.

On the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, you also need to subscribe to the PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, PlayStation Plus Deluxe or PlayStation Plus Premium service.

How to fix Diablo 4 Astaroth boss fight glitch

In the As the World Burns mission in Act 2: The Knife Twists Again of Diablo IV, you will need to defeat Astaroth. Once you managed to beat this boss, you may notice that the game will be glitched as you may not get any rewards and/or progress. This soft lock has been reported to appear on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X versions of the action role-playing title.

1. If you haven’t done so already, try to log out and then log back into the game. You may have to fight Astaroth again.

During the last phase of the fight, you should try to defeat the boss as close to the western gate as possible. By doing so, the game may be able to register your victory correctly, giving you your rewards and letting you progress to the next area. You may have to try multiple times in order to get this solution to work.

3. For a more permanent fix, you have to wait until the development team at Activision Blizzard address this problem. The good news is that they have already acknowledged the problem and are currently working on a solution.

How to fix Diablo 4 deleted character issues on consoles

When you log into your Battle.net account in Diablo IV on your PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X, you may notice that your character has been deleted.

1. For the first step you should make sure that your Battle.net account is linked to the PSN or Xbox Live user name you are using when playing Diablo IV. You can do so from the Battle.net Connected Account page.

If the Battle.net account is linked to a different PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account, then you can try changing it to see if you are able to recover your missing character.

2. If you created the character when you are logged into an older Battle.net account, then your character will be tied to that account. So, if you are using a new Battle.net account to play this action role-playing game, try to use the old one instead when logging into the game on your console.

3. If you created the character without first signing into a Battle.net account, then the character should be tied to your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. If you later connected your PSN or Xbox Live user name to a Battle.net account, then that character may appear to be deleted.

In this scenario, you can try unlinking your console account from Battle.net from the aforementioned Connected Account page in order to see if you can get your character to appear again.

4. Make sure you have the latest patch of this game installed on your gaming system if you haven’t done so already.

5. If you still can’t recover your lost character, then we recommend contacting the support team at Activision Blizzard to get direct help on your Battle.net account. This seems to be a common problem at launch. So, they will hopefully be able to get your character back.
