Overall, the Quality Mode does provide a slightly sharper image while also running at a constant 60 fps, which is the same frame rate as the Performance Mode. So, you should go with the Quality Mode if you are planning to play the game on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

The results of PS4 Image Enhancement are a little mixed. Although the game does look a little sharper, the colors appear a little more washed out.

So, you may want to use the Vivid filter in the in-game menu to add more color to the image if you don’t like the default look with the image enhancement.

Final Fantasy XV: PS5 vs. PS5 Pro Comparison

The computer-generated cut scenes and background does not appear any sharper with this feature turned on.

For the uninformed, the PS5 Pro features a PS4 Image Enhancement setting that may make some PS4 games look sharper.

This does not appear to have much effect on the pre-rendered backgrounds and cut scenes. However, the character and battle graphics do look a bit sharper with PS4 Image Enhancement.

Final Fantasy XVI is not currently PS5 Pro Enhanced. Instead, it uses the Game Boost to take advatage of the extra horsepower of the console to provide a sharper image quality and smoother frame rate.

Although the game still does not run at a smooth 60 fps, it does stick to within the 48 fps minimum if you have a screen capable of Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).
