How to farm gold quickly in Sea of Stars

If you find yourself running out of money frequently in Sea of Stars, then you can check out this guide at Seeking Tech to see how you can farm gold quickly.

Selling Items

The easiest way to make money in this role-playing game is by selling your items at stores. When you select the Sell option, the first category you should see is for Valuables. These items are meant to be should as it should as they serve no other purpose.

If you are still running short on cash, then we suggest selling your cooked foods. The individual ingredients aren’t worth much when sold. When you create dishes from campfires, however, you will be able to get better value.

Since you can only hold 10 cooked items at a time, you should sell off any plates that aren’t useful during battle and then cook for more dishes to be sold.

Of course, you should also sell any unequipped weapons and armor.

Relics

Some relics can be very helpful if you constantly find yourself low on gold.

If you are spending too much cash when it comes to getting healing items, then we recommend that you enable the Amulet of Storytelling, which will be given to you near the beginning of the story. By doing so, you will be able to double the maximum HP of your characters. Furthermore, your characters will be healed to full health after every battle.

To make combat even easier, you can also enable the Guardian Aura relic, which reduces the damage taken by 30%. This relic can be bought when you first visit the Stonemasons Outpost.

With both of these relics, you won’t have to spend money on healing items as often, which frees up your wallet for other purchases.

Later on in the game, you will be able to purchase the Gold Tooth relic in Lucent. This relic will reduce the price of items in all shops when activated.

While you can also earn gold by fighting enemies and/or playing the Wheels mini-game, these activities are more time-consuming.

How to make blocking easier in Sea of Stars

Blocking incoming attacks is important in Sea of Stars as this action reduces the amount of damage taken. If you are having a difficult time defending against strikes in this role-playing game, then you can take a look at this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

1. If you are playing Sea of Stars on a television set, then you should make sure that you are playing with Game Mode, Game Optimizer Mode or a similar picture setting enabled on your TV.

This specialized mode is designed to reduce latency when it comes to the controller input.

2. Another way to reduce input lag is to avoid using a wireless controller. A wired connection is much better when it comes to responsiveness.

3. You will unlock the chance to purchase a relic called Sixth Sense early on in your adventure. This item should unlock the first time you visit the Stonemasons Outpost.

By enabling this relic, your party members should be able to automatically block incoming attacks at a rate of around 35%. Of course, you should still be able to manually block on your own as well.

If you find that the characters are taking too much damage due to you not being able to correctly time your blocks, then the Sixth Sense should help you during combat, especially when fighting against stronger enemies and bosses.

You may also want to consider enabling the Amulet of Storytelling and/or Guardian Aura relics to make battles easier.

4. Aside from the aforementioned tips, the only other way to improve your blocking is to simply keep practicing.

How to push blocks in Sea of Stars

You may run into some instances where it seems like you are able to push a block, crystal or other objects in Sea of Stars. To find out how you can push in this role-playing game, you can check out this guide from Seeking Tech.

Unlocking the Mistral Bracelet

In order to push blocks, you first need to unlock the Mistral Bracelet. With this item, the leader of your party will be able to shoot a burst of wind in the direction they are facing. As a result, any moveable objects, such as blocks and crystals, will be pushed in that direction.

You can find this item in the Wind Tunnel Mines dungeon that you need to visit for story purposes. You can access this area at the top of the Stonemasons Outpost by jumping down the giant hole.

Once you get into the dungeon, make your way through it. Along the way you should see pushable blocks and crystals. Avoid these objects for now.

How to use the Mistral Bracelet

The Mistral Bracelet is located in an area with a gigantic chest. Once you unlocked this item, you should be able push the blocks and crystals you saw previously.

The default controls for the bracelet are Square on a PlayStation Controller, X on an Xbox controller and Y on a Nintendo Switch controller.

Before pushing, make sure the leader in your party is facing the direction where you want the object to be pushed.

What is the best bonus stat in Sea of Stars?

Similar to Super Maro RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, you can choose a bonus stat to upgrade in Sea of Stars. The new RPG (which is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X) will let you pick between four different stats.

You may see any of the following bonuses appear in the level up screen:

  • Health Points
  • Mana Points
  • Attack Points
  • Defense Points
  • Magic Attack Points
  • Magic Defense Points

So, which bonus stat is the best in Sea of Stars? You can find out in this guide from Seeking Tech.

About the Relics System

Before we start, it is important to note that Sea of Stars features a Relics system that lets you customize your experience.

After the prologue, you will be given the Amulet of Storytelling, which doubles the HP of your character when activated.

Later on in the game, you should also be able to buy the Guardian Aura, which reduces the damage taken from enemy attacks by 30% when activated.

Best Sea of Stars bonus stat without using relics

If you don’t want to use the Amulet of Storytelling and/or Guardian Aura, then the best bonus stat to get, especially early on, is HP.

By having higher hit points, you won’t have to worry about healing or getting knocked out as much. The bosses and even the regular enemies in the game can hit pretty hard, especially if you aren’t good at consistently timing your blocks.

Best Sea of Stars bonus stat when using relics

If you decide to activate the Amulet of Storytelling and/or Guardian Aura relics, then the best bonus stat to get early on is MP.

While skills can deal a lot of damage, the maximum MP pools for your characters are pretty low. As a result, you won’t be able to use skills in consecutive turns from the same character for most of the game. Hence, you might want to focus on increasing your MP stat of your party members until you get to at least 20 MP.

About the other bonuses

Aside from HP and MP, you can also choose any of the following bonus stats in the level up screen:

  • Attack Points
  • Defense Points
  • Magic Attack Points
  • Magic Defense Points

Once you feel like that you have obtained enough HP and MP, we suggest that you improve your Magic Attack Points as these will help you deal more damage with your Skill attacks. If Magic Attack Points aren’t available, then you can focus on Attack Points, which increases your regular attack power.

Assuming you have high HP, then the Defense and Magic Defense bonuses aren’t necessary. This is especially true if you are using the Amulet of Storytelling and/or Guardian Aura relics.

How to play Sea of Stars in easy mode

If you are having a hard time with fighting against bosses and/or regular enemies in Sea of Stars, then you can check out this guide at Seeking Tech to see how you can make the game easier.

Before we begin, it is important to note that Sea of Stars does not have a traditional easy, very easy or story mode. Instead, the role-playing game offers a Relics system that you can use to customize your gameplay experience. With this feature, you should be able to make the combat easier.

1. For the first step, you need to open the Game Menu.

This can be done by pressing the Triangle button if you are playing with a PlayStation controller, Y button if you are playing with an Xbox controller or X button if you are playing with a Nintendo Switch controller.

2. Next, you need to select Relics from the Game Menu.

Keep in mind that Relics won’t be unlocked until you clear the prologue. This occurs when you leave Mooncradle village as you will be given two relics by Headmaster Moraine.

3. In the Relics Menu, we suggest that you turn on the Amulet of Storytelling, which is one of the first two relics given to you.

By doing so, the maximum hit points of your characters will double. Once you defeat your enemies in an encounter, the HP will be fully restored as well.

4. Once you reach the Stone Masons Village, visit its shop to purchase the Guardian Aura. This relic will reduce the damage you take by 30%.

Afterwards, activate it from the aforementioned Relics Menu.

5. There are other relics that you can purchase as you go further into Sea of Stars to make the game easier.

With both Amulet of Storytelling and Guardian Aura activated, you shouldn’t have much trouble in combat, however, as your characters are able to take more hits before getting knocked out. Not to mention that you don’t have to worry about healing in between fights.
