If you are left-handed, then there is an option in Sea of Stars for those who prefer to switch the functions of the left and right analog sticks. To find out how you can properly do so, you can check out this tutorial from Seeking Tech.
1. For the first step, open the Options menu in Sea of Stars from either the main menu or pause menu.
2. In Options, head over to the Controls tab.
You should be able to change tabs by pressing the L1 and R1 buttons on a PlayStation controller, LB and RB buttons on an Xbox controller or L and R buttons on a Nintendo Switch controller.
3. From the Controls tab, move the cursor to the Swap L/R option.
4. By default, this setting is turned off. To enable it, use the left and right directional buttons or tilt the left analog stick to the left or right directions, to set Swap L/R to On.
By doing so, you will now need to use the right analog to move your character and navigate the menus.
5. If you would also like to change the other buttons, then you can use the same Controls tab in the Options menu.
Alternatively, you can head over to your console’s custom button assignment menu. This is the only way where you can change the face buttons to the directional pad buttons if you are interested in switching them.
