Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition

1. To start off, you can try checking the settings of your television screen or monitor. Make sure that you have the picture mode set to Game Mode, Game Optimizer Mode or something similar as these are designed to reduce input latency.

2. If your screen supports Variable Refresh Rate, make sure you enable it on the screen as well as on your PC/Xbox. VRR should further reduce the input delay.

3. You can also try plugging in the controller into your PC or Xbox console. A wired controller should be faster and more stable than a wireless one.

4. If you can only use a wireless controller to play Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition, then you should make sure that there aren’t any obstructions between the gamepad and the PC/console.

1. If you haven’t done so already, make your select Help & Options from either the main menu or pause menu in the game.

2. On the Options menu, select Audio.

3. From the Audio Options menu, move the cursor down to Announcer Volume.

4. The Announcer Volume setting has a default value of 50. You will be able to adjust it in increments of 5.

To completely mute the commentator, use the left analog stick or left directional pad button to move the slider all the way to the left until it is at a value of 0.

5. Exit the menus in Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition.

The next time you fight, the commentator should be muted.

1. For the first step, you need to head into the Help & Options section from the pause menu or main menu.

2. Once you get there, you need to select Display.

3. From the Display Options screen, scroll down and move the cursor to Motion Blue. It should have the following description:

Toggles on-screen Motion Blur.

4. Use the left analog stick or directional pad buttons to change this setting from “On” to “Off.”

5. You can then back out of the Help & Options menu.

During gameplay, you should no longer notice any blurring for objects that are in motion.

3. You should now be in the Display Options menu. Here, you need to move the cursor to Display In Game Toasts, which should be showing the following information when highlighted:

Show in game toast prompts when you achieve/unlock a trial/fight title.

4. Use the left analog stick or D-Pad buttons to change the Display In Game Toasts setting from “On” to “Off.”

5. You can then exit out of the Help & Options screen.

The next time you get into a match, there should no longer be any in-game notifications popping up.

By default, combo assist is enabled in Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition. This setting allows you to pull off special moves without having to string together a string of button combinations in the correct order with proper timing.

1. While you can enable or disable combo assist directly from the character selection screen (by pressing the X button if you are playing with a controller or fight stick with an Xbox layout), you won’t be able to customize it.

Therefore, we recommend that you head over to the Help & Options screen from the main menu instead.

2. Once you get there, select Controller.

3. On the next screen, scroll down to Combo Assist.

4. You will be able to change the combo Assist to Enabled, Disabled or Custom.

If you choose Custom, you need to open the Edit Settings screen (which can be done by pressing the A button on the Xbox controller). Afterwards, you can choose to enable or disable this assist feature for the following attack types:

• Openers
• Linkers
• Enders
• Ultras

Select the Save option once you are done to save your custom combo assist settings.

5. After changing the assistance feature, select Save to apply it in the game.
