How to search within a channel in the YouTube PS5 App

Searching within a channel within channel in the official YouTube application on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition system can be a little tricky. To find out how you can search properly, you can take a look at this step-by-step walkthrough from Seeking Tech.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to search within a YouTube channel on PS5 as you can’t simply use the search bar on the channel’s page like you would do by using the official YouTube website on a desktop computer.

Instead, you need to take the following steps:

1. To start off, you need to open the YouTube App on your console if you haven’t done so already.

If you can’t find the application, then you need to long press the PS button on your DualSense gamepad until you bring up the Home screen. From there, you need to press the R1 button to switch over to the Media tab. If you don’t see YouTube in this tab, then you need to select the All Apps option and then download the video streaming application.

2. Once you have the YouTube App opened, you can press the triangle button on the gamepad in order to quickly bring up the search bar.

If you are in the menus of the application, then you can also navigate all the way to the left column menu and then select the Search option.

3. In the Search screen, you need to input the name of the YouTube channel as well as the title or subject of a video you are trying to search for.

For example, if you are trying to search for a God of War video from within the PlayStation Access channel, then you need to search for “PlayStation Access God of War.”

4. Once you are done with your search, you should be able to see a list of videos appearing from the same YouTube channel that matches your search query.

If you would like Google to make it easier to search within a channel in the YouTube PS5 App, then we recommend that you visit theSend feedback for YouTube on TV webpage.

From there, you can use Sony as the brand and PS5 as the model. In the Feedback Type, you should select Feature Request – Other. Finally, type that you want to be able to search within a channel in the YouTube App on the PS5 inside of the description box. Once you are done, select the Submit option to send your request to Google.

How to buy games that you already have from PS Plus on PS5

PlayStation Plus is service that you can subscribe to that will give you full access of hundreds of videogames. If you would like to purchase a game that you already got through PS Plus on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition system, then you can take a look at this tutorial from Seeking Tech.

Why buy a PS Plus game?

One of the reasons you may want to buy a game that you gotten through PlayStation Plus is that you don’t plan on staying subscribed to the service. Once your current membership expires, then you no longer be able to play the PS Plus game unless you resubscribe or buy it.

Games that you got off of the PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe and Premium tiers also have expiration dates. Once that date has been reached, you can no long play these PS Plus games, even if you remain a subscriber to the service, unless you purchase them.

So, if you are interested in buying a game that was previously in PS Plus, then you need to do the following:

1. To start off, make sure you turn on your PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition console and then open the PlayStation Store if you haven’t done so already.

2. Inside of the PlayStation Store, press the triangle button on your DualSense controller and then select the Search icon.

3. In the Search menu, input the name of the game you are trying to purchase.

4. After entering the name, select the game from the search results page.

5. You should now be in the product page. This page may look different depending on the game you selected.

If you see an option that shows the price of the game, then you can select it to add the game directly to your digital shopping cart.

If you don’t see a price and/or would like to select a different edition of the game to buy, then you need to tap the option that has the three dots.

In the pop-up menu, you may be able to find the price as well as the other available editions. If you don’t see any of these in the pop-up menu, then you can select the View Product option; afterwards, you should be able to buy the game from the product page or in the three dots menu of the product page.

How to fix YouTube PS5 App age restriction error

When trying to watch a YouTube video on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition system, you can run into the following error message:

“Something went wrong. Sorry, this content is age-restricted.”

To see how you can get rid of this issue and watch the video, you can take a look at this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

1. The first step you can take is to make sure that you didn’t accidentally enable parental controls on your home network.

2. If you don’t think that your home network is causing the age restriction issues, then you can check out the parental controls settings on your PS5.

In order to do so, you need to take the following steps:

  • Open the Settings menu on your console and then select Family and Parental Controls.
  • From the Family and Parental Controls menu, you then need to select PS5 Console Restrictions.
  • In the Console Restriction Passcode screen, you need to ether the numeric code. If you haven’t set one previously, then the default code is 0000.
  • After getting to the PS5 Console Restrictions, you can select the Temporarily Disable PS5 Console Restrictions option. Alternatively, you can also select your current account and then make sure that it isn’t restricted from any accessing apps.

3. If you don’t have any paternal controls enabled on your home network or PS5, then the age restriction issue may be related to the age of your Google Account.

To check your age, you need to visit the Google Account website, sign into the same account you used for YouTube on PS5 and then select the Personal Info option on the left menu.

You should then see your birthday. If the date is blank or inaccurate, then make sure you change it.

4. If you are using a brand account to watch YouTube videos on your PlayStation 5, then it may be causing the age-restricted message to pop up as well.

To fix this, you can try switching over to a personal account instead by doing the following:

  • In the menus of the YouTube PS5 App, press the O button to open the left column menu and then select your branded user name at the top.
  • In the Accounts screen, you can then switch to your personal account, which should have your email listed underneath the username.
  • Afterwards, you can try switching back to the brand account to see if you are able to watch age-restricted video again. You may have to sign out of your YouTube account and then sign back in to get the glitch to go away.

5. If none of the steps have worked so far, then you can try using a different Google account to sign into YouTube.

How to remove recommended and suggested videos in the YouTube PS5 App

When browsing through the official YouTube application on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console, you may see recommended and suggested videos.

If you aren’t interested in these videos and would like to remove them from your feeds, then you can take a look at this tutorial from Seeking Tech.

1. To begin, turn on your PS5 and then open the YouTube App if you haven’t done so already.

2. With the YouTube App opened, you then need to sign into your YouTube account. Without logging in, you won’t be able to remove the recommended and suggested videos from your feeds.

In order to sign in, press the circle button while browsing through the video streaming app. A menu should then appear on the left side, where you need to select the Sign In option at the top. From the “Sign in and make it yours” screen, you can then select your sign in method and follow the subsequent on-screen instructions.

3. Once you are signed into your account, hover over the video that you want to remove from your feed.

4. With the video in question highlighted, press and hold the X button on your DualSense gamepad to bring up the More Options menu that should appear on the right side of the screen.

5. From this menu, you need to select the Not Interested option.

6. You should now be in the “Tell us why” screen, where you can select the following reasons:

  • I’ve already watched the video
  • I don’t like the video
  • Don’t recommend channel

If you aren’t interested in the individual video but are interested in other videos from the same YouTube channel, then you can select the “I’ve already watched the video” or “I don’t like the video” options. By doing so, other videos from the channel will still appear in your feed.

If you don’t want to see any videos from the same YouTube channel, then you need to select the “Don’t recommend channel” option from the “Tell us why” screen instead.

7. Once you made your choice, you should see the following message appear on the top right side of the screen for a few seconds:

“Got it. We’ll tune your recommendations”

8. You can repeat these steps over and over again in order to remove any recommended and suggested videos that you aren’t interesting in watching from your feed.

How to reduce Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 input lag on PS5

When playing Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition system, you may notice that there is a bit of input lag. You can take a look at this guide from Seeking Tech to see how you can potentially reduce the latency.

1. For the first step, we recommend that you stop downloading, uploading or streaming on another device as the bandwidth load may lag input delay.

2. If possible, we recommend that you connected your PS5 console to wired Ethernet, which should be faster and more stable when compared to Wi-Fi.

3. You should also check if you have Game Mode, or another similar setting, enabled on your television set. This picture setting mode is designed to increase the responsiveness of playing games like Warzone 2.

4. If possible, we recommend that you enable Variable Refresh Rate on your TV or monitor. In some screens, enabling Game Mode should also turn on VRR by default as well.

Moreover, you should also make sure you have Variable Refresh Rate support enabled on your PS5. In order to check, you need to do the following:

  • Go to the Settings menu of your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console.
  • After opening the Settings screen, go to Screen and Video.
  • Inside the Screen and Video menu, you first need to select Video Output.
  • On the right side of the same menu, you should then make sure that VRR is set to Automatic.

5. If your television or monitor has a 120 Hz refresh rate, then we recommend playing Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 at 120 frames per second. Not only will you get a smoother experience, but the input lag will be further reduced as well.

In order to enable 120 Hz support on your PS5, go back to the Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output menu. From there, you need to set the 120 Hz setting to Automatic.

When playing the game at 120 frames per second, you may notice a drop in sharpness and other visual enhancements. These sacrifices are made in order to run the game at a higher fps.

6. You can also try using your DualSense as a wired controller as doing so will eliminate some of the input delay. If you are interested in doing so, then you need to take the following steps:

  • Connect your DualSense to your PS5 by using an USB cable. The controller must stay connected to the console when you are playing Warzone 2.
  • Once you are ready, head to the Settings menu of your console.
  • From Settings, you have to select Accessories.
  • After getting to the Accessories menu, you need to select Controller (General) on the left column and then Communication Method on the right side.
  • In the Communication Method menu, make sure that the Use USB Cable is selected.

7. Make sure you have the latest patch for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and firmware for your PlayStation 5 installed. These new updates may improve the input latency when playing the first-person shooter.

8. If you are only experiencing noticeable lag when you are trying to aim, then you can try increasing analog stick sensitivity from the in-game menu by doing the following:

  • Press the Options button on your controller to open the menu on the right side.
  • Next, you need to press the R1 button a few times to switch over to the Settings tab.
  • In the Settings tab, you then need to select Controller.
  • Inside the Controller menu, scroll down to the Aiming section.

In this section, you will be able to adjust the following parameters:

  • Horizontal Stick Sensitivity
  • Vertical Stick Sensitivity
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (Third Person Sensitivity Multiplier, Ground Vehicles Sensitivity Multiplier, Air Vehicles Sensitivity Multiplier and Tablet Sensitivity Multiplier)
  • Vertical Aim Axis (On Foot Vertical Aim, Third Person Vertical Aim, Ground Vehicles Vertical Aim and Air Vehicles Vertical Aim)

9. If none of the aforementioned potential solutions helped with reducing the input lag, then you can try playing Warzone 2.0 on anther screen to see if you can get a more responsive experience. Some television sets and monitors may have better latency reduction when compared to others.

Xbox Series X vs. Xbox Series S power consumption guide

One of the factors you may want to consider when picking between the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is the energy consumption of each hardware. You can check out this comparison guide to see how much these two Microsoft gaming consoles will consume.

Quick Summary

As expected, the Xbox Series S is more power efficient than the Xbox Series X when it comes to the energy saving mode, sleep mode, video streaming and game playing.

If you are planning to use your console as mainly a streaming box and/or connect it to a 1080p TV, then the Series S is the better choice in terms of power consumption.

With that said, the extra energy being used by the Xbox Series X should result in better looking games that run at higher resolutions and frame rates. So, if you are looking for the best graphics, then you should pick up the Series X instead.

Xbox Series X vs. Xbox Series S energy consumption chart

You can take a look at our comparison table for the power consumption between the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Xbox Series XXbox Series S

The energy saving mode is when you fully shut down your Xbox Series console without unplugging its power cord from the power outlet.

According to internal testing done by Microsoft using methods from the Game Console Voluntary Agreement, the Xbox Series X consumes 0.5 W, which is 0.1 W (or 25%) more than the Xbox Series S.

Sleep Mode

If you decided to put your console into Sleep Mode, then the lower power state will consume 13 W on the Series X, which is 0.3 W (or 30%) more than the Series S.

Menu Navigation

If you have your system fully powered on but are only in the system menu, then the Xbox Series X will consume 48 W, which is 20W (or 71.4%) more than the Xbox Series S.

DVD Disc Playback

When it comes to DVD playback, the X version of the gaming hardware takes up 48 W of energy consumption. Since the S version does not come with a disc drive, then it is not able to play DVDs.

Blu-Ray Disc Playback

For Blu-Ray disc playback, the Xbox Series X utilizes 50 W of power. As we stated above, the Xbox Series S has no disc drive, which means that it is not able to play Blu-Ray.

Streaming HD Videos

When using your game console to stream HD videos, the Series X will consume 47 W, which is 19 W (or 67.9%) more than the Series S.

Streaming 4K Videos

For 4K video streaming, the Xbox Series X uses 48 W, which is 17 W (or 54.8%) more than the Xbox Series S.

Playing Games

When it comes to actually playing games, the Series X can take up as much as 153 W, which is 79 W (or 106.8%) more than the Series S.

Of course, the X version of the hardware uses the extra power to provide high resolution, better frame rates and other visual enhancements when compared to the S version.

How to disable Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 crossplay and crossplay chat on PS5

By default, the PlayStation 5 version of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will have crossplay and crossplay chat enabled. The crossplay feature will allow you to play the game with players on another platform such as PC and Xbox. The crossplay communication feature will let you chat with the players from other platforms via text and voice.

While crossplay is great, especially if you have friends that don’t have the same platform as you, it could lead to an unfair advantage, especially when PC players are matched up against console gamers.

If you want to disable either, or both, of these features, then you can take a look at this article from Seeking Tech.

1. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you turn on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition system.

2. Next, you need to start playing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II videogame as it shares the same launcher as Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

3. Once you opened the game, press the Options button on your DualSense to skip the intro sequence.

4. You can then follow the instruction on the screen by pressing the X button to start.

5. Afterwards, wait for the servers to connect to the game.

10. In the new menu, press the R1 button several times to switch over to the Settings tab.

11. You then need to select Account & Network from the list of available options.

12. After getting to the Account & Network menu, you should see the Crossplay and Crossplay Communication settings in the Online section at the top.

By default, both of these are set to On. To disable one, or both, you need to select the settings to set them to Off.

By disabling crossplay and/or crossplay chat for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale, the change will also be applied to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 DMZ and vice versa.

How to download Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 on PS5

The Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is a free-to-play battle royale mode for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II videogame.

You will be able to download this component separately from the main game. By doing so, you will save a lot of space on the solid state drive as you don’t have to keep the other parts of Modern Warfare 2 installed. Not to mention that you don’t actually have to own the main game in order to play Warzone 2.0.

With that said, the process can be a little bit confusing on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition systems if you aren’t familiar with navigating through the cumbersome PlayStation Store App. To find out how you can properly do so, you can take a look at this step-by-step tutorial from Seeking Tech.

1. To start off, turn on your Sony game console and then sign into your PlayStation Network account if you haven’t done so already.

2. You should now be in the home screen menu. This is where you can select which game to start up.

If you can’t find the game, then you can use the search bar on the top right side of the store.
