If you want to game share the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of Diablo IV, then you may run into issues when the other player tries log into the game with a different account. To see how you can potentially fix this sharing issue, you can take a look at troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.
Can you game share Diablo IV during early access?
Unfortunately, a community manager at Activision Blizzard has confirmed that you won’t be able to game share Diablo 4 during its early access period. That benefit is tied to the PlayStation Network account that you used to purchase the game.
For the uninformed, the early access period should last from June 2nd through June 6th. After that, you should be able to share your digital copy with another player without any issue.
If you don’t want to wait that long, then you can have the other player play with you via local couch co-op. They should be able to create their own Battle.net account or use an existing one.
Once the early access period ends, the other player can then play on their own console via game share. Since the save data is hosted over the cloud, they will be able to transfer their progress from the local co-op sessions to their own game.
If you are playing on a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5, then you can use a feature called Share Play in order to play Diablo 4 during early access with another player over the internet. While this feature has a 60 minutes time limit per session, you can start a new session immediately after the current one ends. So, if you can’t play locally with the other player, then this is the next best option if you have the PS4 or PS5 version.
You can find the full statement from the Activision Blizzard community manager below (via the U.S. Blizzard forums):
Users who purchase a Deluxe/Ultimate Edition on an account should use that same account to host couch co-op sessions during the Early Access period. This ensures the guest player can join and participate in co-op.
Can you share the Diablo IV Deluxe or Ultimate Edition bonus content?
Unfortunately, we can confirm that you won’t be able to share the bonus DLC content that came with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Diablo 4.
These extras are tied to your Battle.net account. As a result, it can’t be transferred to a different Battle.net account.
