Fastest way to grind for ability points and gil in Final Fantasy V

This Seeking Tech guide will show you the best way to farm for ability points and gil in the Merged World of Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster.

The best spot to farm is on the Final Floor of the Interdimensional Rift. This area contains a save point that you can use to rest if needed.

It also contains the Mover, a group of enemies that will give you nearly 600 ability points for every victory. If you have boost enabled to the maximum at 4x for ability points, then you can earn almost 2400 per battle. You can also earn 150,000 gil per fight, or 600,000 gil if you enable boost to the maximum at 4x.

To farm, I recommend that you use Black Magic and Smoke for your abilities. Smoke will let you instantly run away from battles. Otherwise, you will get stuck in tough battles that will be hard to run away from when fighting other enemies in the same area.

Once you finally encounter the Mover, you should attack all three at once with Firaga. If you don’t defeat them in a few turns, then the battle will end, and you won’t get any rewards.

How to beat Omega without Bards in Final Fantasy V

This Seeking Tech guide will show you how to beat Omega without using the Romeo’s Ballad ability from Bards.

Preparation

When it comes to abilities, you should use a combination of Spellblade and Rapid Fire for one character who will be your main attacker. The rest of the characters should focus on healing with White Magic and Dualcast.

In terms of equipment, give your most powerful weapons to your main attacker. You should also equip Flame Rings and Ribbons for all your party members if you have any. Flame Rings will absorb the Atomic Ray and Flame Thrower fire-based attacks. Ribbons should block status infliction from the Rainbow Wind, Blaster and Delta Attack attacks.

The Flame Ring can be bought from the hidden armor store from the Phantom Village location.

Battle

When it comes to the fight, you should have your main attacker use Spellblade and then select Thundaga on their first turn. The rest of the party members should focus on healing or be on standby.

On the second turn, the main attacker should use Rapid Fire.

Afterwards, you need to get a little bit lucky in that Omega won’t use Encircle on the main attacker. Hopefully, he won’t confuse all your healers as well. If he does, then you should probably restart the fight.

Otherwise, focus on healing until your main attacker gets a turn again. Afterwards, have the attacker use Rapid Fire. Repeat this process until Omega goes down.

Beat Shinryu without dragon lances in Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster

This Seeking Tech guide will help you defeat Shinryu without using dragon lances.

Preparation

Before the battle, make sure you learn the Flare, Curaga, Esuna and Arise magic spells. I also recommend that you master all of the jobs, and then use Freelancer for all party members.

In terms of abilities, three of your party members should focus on healing and protection. The fourth should use Spellblade with Rapid Fire.

When it comes to equipment, make sure you equip Ribbons if you have any. You should also give your most powerful weapons to the main attacker. It is also very important that you equip Coral Rings, since these will absorb Tidal Wave and block Atomic Ray.

You can buy Coral Rings in the secret armor shop that can be found in the Phantom Village location.

Battle

As for the actual battle, start out by using Mighty Guard if you have it. If you don’t then you can use the Shell and Protect spells instead. Next, you should have your attacker use Spellblade, and then select Flare.

For the rest of the fight, the attacker should use Rapid Fire. The other three party members should be on standby and should focus on healing immediately after the enemy attacks.

How to beat the Famed Mimic Gogo the hard way in Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster

This Seeking Tech Guide will explain how you can beat Famed Mimic Gogo after provoking him in Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster.

Preparation

Before you enter the battle, you should complete all the other side quests and play through the story up until the very last save point in the final dungeon.

At the very least, you should obtain Flare, as well as all the high-level white magic spells. The White Wind and Mighty Guard blue spells are extremely helpful in this fight. If you don’t have them, then you can use Curaga for healing. You should also use Shell and Protect to help reduce damage as an alternative to Mighty Guard.

In terms of abilities, you should have three of your party members focus on healing and support. The final party member should focus on attacking with a combination of Spellblade and Rapidfire. You should probably max out all job classes and then use Freelancer.

When it comes to the equipment, equip Hermes’ Sandals for all party members. This will give them auto-haste. Aside from that, you should give your most powerful weapons to your attacker.

You can find Hermes’ Sandals in the hidden armor shop at the Phantom Village.

Battle

When it comes to the actual fight, have your main attacker use Spellblade, and then select Silence. Have the other three party members on standby until your attacker gets another turn.

This time, have your attacker Rapid Fire. Immediately afterwards, have one of the other party members use Mighty Guard. If you don’t have Mighty Guard, you can use Shell and Protect instead. Have any of the remaining party members heal if necessary.

If you are lucky, you should be able to silence Gogo. This will prevent him from casting Meteor. If Gogo hasn’t been silenced, then the fight could still be winnable although you will end up struggling a lot more.

Once your attacker gets another turn, you should use Spellblade, and then select Flare.

For the rest of the fight, your attacker should use Rapid Fire, while the remaining party members heal and provide protection if necessary.

How to beat the Gil Turtle in Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster

This Seeking Tech guide will explain how you can defeat the Gil Turtle in Final Fantasy V. For this method, make sure you have the Golem summon as well as the following spells:

  • Float
  • Esuna
  • Curaga
  • Blizzaga

In terms of your party setup, make sure that two of your characters can Summon. The other two should be able to use Black Magic. You should also make sure that three party members can use White Magic, while the remaining one member is capable of using Time Magic.

Before the fight, make sure you cast Float on your entire. Otherwise, the earthquake attack of the Gil Turtle at the end of the battle may end up wiping out your entire party.

At the beginning of the encounter, summon Golem as soon as possible. Afterwards, make sure you heal your party with Curaga.

Once you have the situation under control, have one character summon Golem and then another character immediately use Blizzaga. You need to alternate between these actions over and over again, only to stop and heal with Caruga and/or Esuna when necessary.

The most important part of this battle is to keep using the Golem summon, as it will block out a vast majority of physical attacks. You should also make sure to recast Float or any party member you got knocked out and then revived.

Eventually, the Gil Turtle will use its earthquake attack when it gets defeated. As long as you have at least one party member with Float, then you should be victorious.

How to find the Golem summon in Final Fantasy V

This Seeking Tech guide will show you how to find the Golem summon in Final Fantasy V. This is one of the most useful summons in the game, as it will block incoming physical attacks up to a certain limit.

For the first step, you need to head over to Drakenvale.

Once you get there, make your way to a hilltop area with a lot of bones lying on the ground.

In this area, you should eventually get an encounter with a Golem, Bone Dragon and Zombie Dragon. Your goal for this battle is to defeat the two dragons without harming the Golem.

The Bone Dragon is weak against Break. The Zombie Dragon is weak against Fire and Healing Spells.

With only the Golem remaining, he will thank you for saving him and make himself available as a summon.

Next, go to the Item menu and then use the Golem item in order to add him to your summon list.

How to earn ABP quickly on the second world of Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster

This Seeking Tech guide will show you the best farming spot when it comes to ability points in the Pixel Remaster version of Final Fantasy V.

The best location to level up your job level is in the Castle of Bol on the second world.

Once you get there, head to the B2 floor. From there, you will encounter the Object De Art enemies.

Before you start fighting these, I recommend using the Boost menu to speed up the grind. Make sure that you have ABP set to 4X.

When it comes to the actual fight, these creatures can be instantly defeated if you have the Level 5 Death blue magic spell. If you use a Gold Needle, then they will be defeated instantly as well. If you don’t have either of those, then you should hammer them with the Ramuh summon and thunder magic attacks.

In groups of two, the Objet d’Arts will net 16 ability points for every battle. In groups of five, you will get 32 ability points for every battle.

If you need to rest, then you can use a tent or cottage on the save point in the previous room. You can also head back out of the basement, and then sleep in the nearby inn.

Final Fantasy V Desert of Shifting Sands puzzle solution

This Seeking Tech guide will help those who can’t seem to navigate the Desert of Shifting Sands in Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster.

Keep in mind that this dungeon can’t be navigated until you are required to do so as part of the story. You will be able to fully explore it once you defeat the Sandworm boss.

1. Once you do, walk on top of its body and then exit to the right end in order to ride the sand.

2. Once you reach your destination, walk down two steps to get on the next ride.

3. Afterwards, walk two steps to the left, and then head down for the new ride.

4. Next, you need to walk to the left four times before going down.

5. Once you get off, walk four steps to the left, and then down two steps. You then need to move right.

6. Finally, you can exit the dungeon by walking down the path.

How to easily grind early in Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster

This Seeking Tech guide will show you the best grinding spot for the first world in the Pixel Remaster version of Final Fantasy V.

To begin, make sure you unlock the Control ability from the Beastmaster Job for multiple characters. This will allow you to control your enemies.

I also recommend that you use Boosts so that you can cut down on the grinding time.

Next, you need to travel to a small island located to the southeast of the world map. It is the second island to the left of the crescent shaped island. The earliest you can get to this island is right after you unlock the fire-powered ship as a transportation vehicle.

On this island, you will only encounter the Prototype. To defeat this tough enemy, use the Control ability. This may end up missing, so make sure you have this ability for multiple characters.

Once the Prototype is under your control, have it use the Self-Destruct on itself. This should instantly defeat the enemy.

If you have boosts enabled to the 4x maximum, then you will earn 8000 experience points and 16 ability points per battle.
