How to find the 7 DLC artifacts added to Astro’s Playroom

If you are replaying Astro’s Playroom to rescue the Special Bots that were added in the new updates, then you should make sure you grab the seven new artifacts.

You can find these in the claw machine in PlayStation Labo. You will need 700 coins in total to grab all of the gatchas in the machine.

The new artifacts are based on the PlayStation Slim, PlayStation Portal, PlayStation Access Controller, DualSense Edge as well as the PlayStation VR2 headset and controllers.

Once you unlock all of the new artifacts, take the portal to make your way down to the Secret Labo. You should then find the newly unlocked artifacts that you can play with.

How to get your Astro’s Playroom save file ready for Astro Bot

Before playing the new Astro-Bot title, there are a few steps you should take in Astro’s Playroom in order to properly prepare for the sequel.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you rescue the four special bots in Astro’s Playroom. They will travel with you when you go on your new journey. Use the following video I made as a reference:

Lady Maria Bot

The first of these is in Renderforest. At the start of this level, make your way to the Bloodborne Bot. From there, stand on the large blade of grass to reveal the location of the Lady Maria Bot.

You then need to look for a clock on the tree stump. Once you find it, stand next to it and then press the Options button on the controller.

You then need to enter 24, 11 and 2015. This is the release date for The Old Hunter expansion of Bloodborne. The Lady Maria Bot will be freed.

Selene Bot

The next Special Bot is located in the Data Deepspace level. On the fourth checkpoint, clear all the enemies and then move forward on the edge that extends from the large purple grass to reveal the Selene Bot.

Afterwards, pick up your gun and defeat the wave of enemies.

On the next part, avoid hurting the green enemies and then make your way to the rooftop. You should spot an astronaut doll lying on the ground.

You need to stand on that spot while getting hit by the green enemies in order to free the Selene Bot.

Gran Turismo Driver Bot

The third Special Bot is located on the Bot Beach level. To find the Gran Turismo Driver Bot, you need to step on four starfish in sequence.

You should find the first one underneath a bridge to the right when you get off the big slide.

The next is located on the shoreline close to the big umbrella.

You should then head back to the aforementioned bridge and then go towards the palm tree where the next starfish is located.

Finally, step on the starfish next to the left pipe.

When the Gran Turismo Driver Bot is revealed, pay attention to the racing track that appeared on the capsule since you will need it to complete a puzzle.

Next, head over to the other pipe.

Once you get there, knock away the shell to reveal the steering wheel. You should then press the Options button on the controller.

Afterwards, follow the racing path that was on the capsule. If done correctly, you should free the Gran Turismo Driver Bot.

Ape Escape Monkey Bot

The final bot is located on Gutsy Gateway. At the start of this level, you need to set up two tight ropes. Afterwards, backtrack to the beginning to grab a rocket.

You should then head to where the Ape Escape bot is and then use the rocket on a hidden platform from the edge.

Before doing anything else, press all of the directional pad buttons. You need to remember the different dances since you need to copy the monkey’s moves.

Once you are ready, make your way through the level until you get to a tree next to a couch. Use a spin attack and then quickly grab the banana.

Afterwards, return to the monkey’s capsule. You then need to mimic the monkey’s dance in order to free the bot.

Moving on to Astro Bot

Once you have saved all the Special Bots, you need to go through the portal in PlayStation Labo.

In this new location, you should be able to make your way to the new Astro Bot game. The four Special Bots you saved earlier should be there waiting for you.

How to fix unresponsive microphone input in Astro’s Playroom

Astro’s Playroom is a videogame that is pre-installed with every PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. When playing, you may eventually come up to a section where the game will tell you to blow into the microphone input of your DualSense controller.

If you are having issues in this section, you can follow this guide at Seeking Tech for some potential fixes.

Why the DualSense mic is unresponsive in Astro’s Playroom

Based on our tests, this issue mainly occurs when you are using a headphone or headset with your PlayStation 5. Once the system detects your headphone or headset, it will automatically switch the microphone input device from the microphone on the DualSense controller to the microphone on your headphone or headset. Keep in mind that not all headphones will have this issue.

You can check the microphone input device in the Settings section of the system menu. From there, select “Sound” and then “Microphone.”

Solution for Headphone

If you running into issues with unresponsive microphone input when using a headphone (which don’t have a microphone), then an easy way to get past these sections that require you to blow on a mic is by pressing the mic mute button. The button is located below the “PS” button on your DualSense controller. You can tell the microphone Is muted when it displays an orange light.

Once the Astro’s Playroom game detects that your microphone has been muted, it will move you through the problematic section without any inputs.

Solution for Headset

If you have a headset, you need to blow directly into the mic on your headset.

If you are still having issues, you can try going to “Settings” from the main system menu and then select “Sound.” From there, select “Microphone” and then “Adjust Microphone Level.” In this section, you can test out the sensitivity of your headset microphone and adjust the microphone level. If your input level is too low, try increasing the microphone level.

If blowing into your headset microphone still does not work, you can try muting your microphone on your headset during the mic-blowing sections in Astro’s Playroom and see if the game will move you through without any inputs.

If none of the above works, simply disconnect your headset from the PlayStation 5. The system will automatically revert the microphone input to your DualSense controller. So, you should now be able to blow on it. Once again, you can check your mic status from the main system menu by going to “Settings,” then “Sound” and then “Microphone.”
