I recently got a chance to play through Shattered Frames 4: Micro Worlds on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review code provided by Orca Games Pty Ltd.
Below, you can find my full playthrough video, with no commentary, and written impressions of this puzzle game:
Pros:
- Relaxing puzzle game with multiple difficulty levels.
- Quick and easy platinum trophy, especially when playing at the lowest difficulty setting.
Cons:
- Some minor visual glitches.
Overall:
Shattered Frames 4: Micro Worlds is a jigsaw puzzle game with completely squared pieces. It offers 16 puzzles to go along with five difficulty modes.
If you want a quick platinum trophy, then you can get it within minutes by playing this game at level 2, which is the easiest difficulty. You only need to match four pieces for every photo.
With that said, I recommend the hardest mode, level 6, if you want to get your money’s worth. Even if it may take longer, completing the puzzles feels more satisfying. The game even has a custom trophy ping that is very nice on the ears.
The game does have some visual glitches, however. In one of the puzzles, some of the pieces turned black temporarily. In other cases, some of the grids may blend in too much with the background. Fortunately, these were rare and didn’t hinder my overall enjoyment.
Despite the rare visual bug, Shattered Frames 4 is still a pretty chill experience that is worth the cheap asking price.
