I recently got a chance to play through Keep Driving on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Future Friends Games.
You can find my full playthrough below:
Pros:
- Unique turn-based battle system.
- Lots of branching paths and side quests.
- Multiple endings and character loadouts.
Cons:
- None.
Overall:
Keep Driving is a road trip role-playing game with turn-based encounters.
When driving to your destinations, you will encounter road events. These can be a flat tire, abandoned vehicles, slow moving car, and more. These encounters can drain your wallet, gas, car durability, and energy.
To get rid of these threats, you need to use certain skills. The encounter will end when you either clear up all the threats or simply choose to drive away and absorb all the hits.
During your travels, you can visit gas stations to refuel, marketplaces to purchase food, car service shops to repair your car, job stations to earn money, and more. You need to manage your gas, money, energy and car durability in order to make sure you have a successful trip.
Keep Driving lets you choose which direction you can drive. The game offers multiple branching paths and side quests, some of which will lead to different endings.
Once you beat the game, you can start over again with new loadout unlocks.
Overall, Keep Driving is a unique and extremely addicting road trip role-playing game. Not to mention that the branching paths and multiple endings add a lot of replay value that will have you coming back for more as well.
If you are looking for a unique twist to RPGs, then you should definitely give Keep Driving a shot.
