I recently got a chance to playthrough Final Zone, thanks to a review code provided by Ratalaika Games.
You can check out my cheats-assisted platinum trophy walkthrough below:
Trophy tips:
- Cheats do not disable trophies. For this video, I ended up using Invincibility and Infinite Ammo.
- Do earn trophies as soon as possible, enable the cheat called “Destroy one enemy to advance to next level.”
You can also read my mini-review of Final Zone below:
Pros:
- Quality of life additions.
- Cheats.
- Easy trophies.
Cons:
- Major frame rate issues.
Overall:
Originall released for the Sega Genesis, Final Zone is an isometric 2D shooter where you get to control a giant mech. You will explore the stages killing off enemies until you clear the area. You then get to fight the boss.
Final Zone offers a wide array of weapons that can be used as primary or secondary. Each will function differently depending on how you equip them.
In terms of combat, you can only shoot in eight directions as there is no analog movement. Thankfully, there are quality of life features like rewind, save states and turbo to help offset some of the clunkiness of the gameplay.
Not to mention, you can also enable cheats like Invincibility and Infinite Ammo if you find the game to be too difficult.
Unfortunately, Final Zone suffers from major frame rate issues as it will slow down or get extremely choppy when there is too much chaos showing up on the screen.
If you don’t mind the technical issues, then Final Zone is a pretty fun action game, especially with cheats enabled.
