I recently got a chance to play through ToyCrafter on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Take IT Studio!
You can find my platinum trophy walkthrough below:
Trophy Guide and Road Map:
During your first night (Monday), turn on the TV from the entry room to unlock the Nothing on Tonight trophy.
You will also find a piano in the entry room. Interact with all 61 keys, including the black ones, to unlock the Night Recital trophy.
You also need to interact with 10 toys from the entry room along with two more toys from the lab room. Once you do, you should unlock the Toycrafter at Heart trophy.
Once you complete all the objectives in the lab room on Monday, interact with the swinging hook where the #6 body was to unlock the Was This Empty? Trophy.
At the end of the Tuesday level, you will see a shadow that will turn into a blob. Chase after it into the storage and see it go down the toilet to unlock the Something Else Lives Here trophy.
If you missed any of the aforementioned trophies, then you can replay the night again to unlock them.
All of the other trophies should unlock automatically as you play through the game.
You can find my mini review of Toy Crafter below:
Pros:
- Creepy atmosphere.
- Intriguing story.
Cons:
- Doll physics can cause issues.
Overall:
ToyCrafter is a short adventure game where you run a toy workshop. Since building small toys no longer interests him, the main character decides to make structures using the limbs of dolls.
To create these structures, you have to saw off the limbs of the dolls, paint them, and then screw them on to the structure.
As you may expect, a lot of disturbing events will occur as you work on your art projects.
Although the game is light on story for the most part, the last section does a great job at providing exposition in addition to giving proper closure to the intriguing story.
My only real complaint about the game is that the doll physics can make simple tasks a lot more annoying than it needs to be. Putting the limbs on a cart, for example, can be a massive pain as they fall off a lot of the time.
With that said, ToyCrafter is still a very fun horror adventure game with an intriguing story behind it. If you are looking for a short but sweet scary game, then you should definitely check this game out.
