Metal Gear Solid Delta with PSSR2: Quality vs. Performance

This video compares the image quality between the Quality and Performance Mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This is done with PSSR2 enabled via the Enhance PSSR Image Quality toggle.

For this comparison, Motion Blur and Depth of Field are disabled.

Quality looks a little bit sharper than Performance. This is apparent when you look at hair strands and some shadows. With that said, Performance Mode offers a more consistent 60 frames per second target.

Unfortunately, both graphics mode can easily drop below the Variable Refresh Rate range, which is 48 fps. So, you will see occasional dips to the frame rate, even if you play in Performance Mode on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
