This Seeking Tech guide will show you how to unlock and beat Seigfried in the coliseum of Final Fantasy VI.
To get him to appear, you need to wager a Megalixir. You can get this rare item from a chest in Kefka’s Tower or by beating the Magic Master boss at the top of the Cultist’s Tower. You can also steal it from Flan Princess, Land Ray, Master Tonberry and Omega Weapon.
Next, head to the Coliseum. Before wagering the Megalixir, make a quick save. The upcoming fight depends a lot on luck. So you will most likely end up having to reload often.
There are two ways you can potentially beat Seigfried in the coliseum.
The first is to equip your best physical attacker with the Genji Glove and Master’s Scroll. This combo will allow your character to attack eight times per turn.
The other way is to equip Shadow with the Kagenui weapon, which may end up casting stop at Seigfried. You should also equip him with Dragon Boots and Dragon Horn.
Once you are ready, start the coliseum battle with Seigfried. This fight is completely random, and there is a good chance that you may lose. If you did end up losing, reload the quick save and try again.
With a bit of luck, you should be able to beat Seigfried in the coliseum and add this entry into your bestiary.
