This Seeking Tech guide will show you how to change the resolution and frame rate for the PlayStation Remote Play App on Windows and Mac. You can do so with the following steps:
1. If you haven’t done so already, open the app on your Windows PC or Mac.
2. From the Connection screen, click on the gear icon.
3. Next, you need to click on the Video Quality for Remote Play.
4. You will then be able to change the resolution to 360p, 540p or 720p.
5. You can also change the Frame Rate to Standard or High.
6. Keep in mind that these settings can only be applied if you are connecting to a base PS4. If you decide to set Frame Rate to High, then you won’t be able to use the gameplay recording feature of the console.
7. Once you are done, click on the OK option.
It is important to note that PS4 Pro and PS5 consoles should automatically target the 1080p resolution as well as a high frame rate.
