While this guide is based on the eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6 and eero Pro 6E, it should also cover the other eero routers as well.

How to block websites with eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6 or eero Pro 6E

In order to block a website with these Wi-Fi 6 routers, you can take the following steps:

1. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you set up your eero network through the eero app.

2. Once you have everything set up, open the eero app on your smartphone or device.

3. If you aren’t automatically logged into your eero, then you need to sign in before you continue.

4. After signing in, you should be on the front page of the eero app where you need to tap Discover.

5. You then need to tap eero Secure.

6. Afterwards, tap Block & Allow Sites.

7. Tap Add Blocked Site.

8. Enter the domain name that you want to block.

If you want to block the entire domain, then you need to enter “domain.com” (without the quotation marks).

If you want to block a subdomain, then you need to enter “subdomain.domain.com” (without the quotation marks).

If you are blocking the entire domain, then make sure you don’t add “www” at the start as it will be treated as a subdomain.

9. Make sure that the Network setting is enabled.

10. Tap Done to finish adding the domain or subdomain to the Blocked list.

How to block websites with eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6 or eero Pro 6E if you have multiple profiles

If you have multiple profiles on your eero account, then you need to do the following in order to block a website:

1. Open the eero app and then make sure you are signed into your eero account.

2. On the home screen of the application, tap the profile that you want to block a specific website for.

3. You then need to tap Block & Allow Sites.

4. Next, you need to tap Add Blocked Site.

5. Input the domain or subdomain that you want blocked for that specific profile.

To block the whole domain, you need to enter the domain name as “domain.com” (without the quotation marks).

To block a subdomain, you need to input “subdomain.domain.com” (without the quotation marks).

Make sure you don’t add “www” at the beginning of the domain name if you want to block the entire domain. Otherwise, your eero router will treat it as a subdomain.

6. Tap Done to add the domain or subdomain to the Blocked list.

If your eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6 or eero Pro 6E doesn’t appear to be blocking a domain or subdomain after you added it to the Blocked list, then you can take a look at this troubleshooting article.
