Pros:
- Endless character customization options.
- Fun old-school 2D combat that is deceptively deep.
- Quirky and unpredictable story.

Overall:
Cladun X3 is a dungeon-crawling action JRPG that features 2D pixels. At the start of the game, you are given practically endless customization options. Along with looks, you can adjust the animations, background and even dialogue for your main characters as well as any party members.
Outside of customization, Caldun X3 offers a fun old-school combat system deceptively deep. While it may look simple at first, you will eventually learn about environmental hazards, elemental advantages, special skills, and many more.
The game also offers a story with the occasional cut scene. The plot so far is very quirky and has many unpredictable moments as the main character is forced into a death game for villains.
With all the customization, Caldun X3 has a very steep learning curve, especially if you are new to the series like me. It will take some time, and even some trial-and-error, to fully grasp how the game works. Even after an hour of gameplay, I felt overwhelmed with many components of the game like the Magic Circle System.
If you are willing to put in the time and effort, then Caldun X3 should be a fun 2D dungeon crawling JRPG to get lost sink many hours into.
