Beat Saber is now available for the PlayStation VR2. If you haven’t heard already, you can upgrade from the PlayStation VR1 version of the game (if you previously brought it) to the PS VR2 version for free. Furthermore, you should also be able to transfer any DLC you previously bought for the PS VR1 release at no additional costs.
So, can you also transfer your save file and/or trophy progress? You can find out in this article from Seeking Tech.
Can you transfer your save data from the PSVR1 version to the PSVR2 version of Beat Saber?
Unfortunately, you aren’t able to transfer your save file from the PlayStation VR1 version of this game to the new PlayStation VR2 iteration. A member of the development has confirmed this to be case on the official Beat Saber Twitter page:
Transfer of the progress from PS VR/PS4 to PS VR2/PS5 is not possible, unfortunately.
As a result, you won’t be able to see your high scores, resume your campaign progress and more.
Can you transfer your trophy progress from the PS VR1 version to the PSVR 2 version?
You won’t be able to transfer your trophy progress from the PlayStation VR1 version to the PlayStation VR2 release of Beat Saber despite the trophy list being identical for the two iterations.
Instead, you have to start your progress all over again instead of having trophies automatically pop-up when you boot up the PlayStation VR2 release.
