Blast’N Bounty: Trophy Guide and Mini Review

I recently got a chance to play through Blast’N Bounty, thanks to a review copy provided by eastasiasoft.

You can find my platinum trophy walkthrough below:

Trophy tips:

  • Play through the game until you get to the final boss.
  • If you are below 300,000 points total during the final boss, shoot the enemies and projectiles that it sends out occasionally.
  • Make sure you grab the power-ups whenever possible to keep your shields up. Avoid shooting the boss if its health gets too low before you reach 300,000.
  • Once you reach the targeted points, defeat the final boss to unlock the remaining trophies for the platinum.

Pros:

  • Play the first seven stages in any order.
  • Fun power-ups.
  • Easy trophies.

Cons:

  • Straightforward stage design.

Overall:

Blast’N Bounty is a vertical shoot-em-up where you hunt down your former crew mates. Instead of playing linearly, you get to choose to play the first seven levels in any order. Once you beat these levels, you can unlock the last and final level.

In terms of gameplay, Blast’N Bounty is pretty standard as you will get a wide array of fun power-up drones like homing missiles and laser beams. It leans on the easy side since the drones also act as an additional shield. As long as you have drones, you won’t lose an extra life.

The only negative is the straightforward stage designs. Aside from the background, the stages don’t have any unique features or environmental hazards, making them basically indistinguishable from each other. You only need to worry about the enemies and bosses on the screen.

Even with less than stellar level designs, Blast’N Bounty is still a pretty fun vertical shoot-em-up that is worth playing if you are into the genre.
