Astro Bot: PS5 vs. PS5 Pro Comparison

This Seeking Tech article compares the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions of Astro Bot.

You can find the comparison video below:

On the base PS5, the game runs at a dynamic resolution of 1440p to 4K. The Pro version should run at a higher resolution in some cases although it would be difficult to tell if you aren’t looking at both side-by-side.

If you look at an object in the background, then you may be able to see the increased clarity of Astro Bot on the PS5 Pro.

The most obvious difference is in the beginning of the Slo-Mo Casion level, as the reflections on the gold floor are a lot sharper on the PS5 Pro than the base PS5 console.

The Pro version also loads the Great Master Challenge slightly faster.

Keep in mind that Astro Bot currently hasn’t been patched to support the PlayStation 5 Pro. So, it is using the console’s game boost feature to get a better resolution.

In terms of frame rate, both versions run at 60 frames per second. The brief drop found by Digital Foundry at the Balloon Breeze level no longer drops even on the base console.
