I recently got a chance to play Piggly Pagly Boom on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Ratalaika Games.
You can find my platinum trophy walkthrough below:
Trophy Guide and Road Map:
To make earning the trophies easier in Piggly Pagly Boom, set the difficulty to easy.
On level 24, make sure you pick up the special coin before destroying all the fireballs. If you didn’t pick it up, use level select to try again.
You should get the following of the trophies naturally by completing the first 30 levels assuming you pick up most of the power-ups along the way:
- Piglet Assistant: Clear Level 1.
- Scholar Hog: Clear Level 10.
- Forest Forager: Clear Level 20.
- Sewer Swine: Clear Level 30.
- High On The Hog: Gather 300,000 points.
- Sands Of Time: Use the Hourglass Power Up.
- Laser Ham: Get the Laser Hookshot Power Up.
- Porktacular!: Use the Bomb Power Up.
If you haven’t done so already by the time complete the 30th level, die by getting killed by the fireballs to unlock Baconated and die by running out of time to unlock Hogging The Clock.
You can find my mini review of Piggly Pagly Boom below:
Pros:
- Simple and fun arcade action game.
- Heart pumping music.
- Easy trophies.
Cons:
- Some animals can be annoying.
Overall:
Piggly Pagly Boom is a simple arcade game where your job is to destroy fireballs. While you can only shoot up, a fireball will break if it hits any part of the rope.
The bigger fireballs won’t be destroyed right away and will instead break into smaller pieces. In order to be successful, you have to time your shots so that the fireballs will either get a direct hit or run into your rope.
Of course, you can expect several obstacles. Some will completely block your shots, while others, like glass barriers will need to be broken for your shots to go through.
There are also some animals that will block your shot. Some of these are located on the ground, which can end up being annoying as they can easily stop your shot midway.
Fortunately, you can pick up several power-ups. For example, there is a power-up that allows you to shoot lasers while another will stop the fireballs from moving.
Overall, Piggly Pagly Boom is a simple yet quite fun arcade game with an easy trophy list. Make sure to check it out if you are into pure arcade fun.
