Salamander County Public Television on PS5 Pro: Mini Review

I recently got a chance to play through Salamander County Public Television on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Tinzone Games and Penguin Pop Games.

You can find my full game playthrough, which includes unlocking the platinum trophy, below:

You can find my mini-review of Salamander County Public Television below:

Pros:

  • Weird and unique mini-games.
  • Wacky and engaging story.
  • Ability to skip mini-games.

Cons:

  • None.

Overall:

Salamander County Public Television offers a collection of weird and unique mini-games. You may have to use a dog’s tongue to get a tennis ball out of a package in one stage, while you have to use a cat to drop the power plug into the power strip in another.

To tie these mini-games loosely together, there is a wacky and engaging story where you play as a new employee in a TV station. The plot is pretty random and most take place over a Slack-like chat room. There is even a text-to-speech voice overs that adds to the hilarity.

As with most mini-game collections, some are better than others. Thankfully, you can skip past anyone that you don’t enjoy and/or can’t beat by getting at least a bronze medal.

Overall, Salamander County Public Television is a weird but extremely fun and charming collection of mini-games. If you are a fan of WarioWare, you will most likely love this too.
