Super Adventure Hand on PS5 Pro – First Impressions

I recently got to try out the first hour of Super Adventure Hand running on a PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy from Upscale Studio.

You can find my gameplay video and text impressions for the 3D platformer below:

Pros:

  • Unique platforming physics-based mechanics.
  • Short and creative levels that don’t overstay their welcome.
  • Clean graphics and smooth frame rate.

Cons:

  • The camera sometimes have a mind of its own.

Overall:

Super Adventure Hand is a 3D platformer where you play as a creepy hand. You will be able to crawl on walls, grabs on objects, flick on things, etc.

The best part of this game is the level design as you will be put in one unique scenario after another. These are rather short as well, which means they never really overstay their welcome. You will constantly be seeing and experiencing new stuff.

On the PlayStation 5 Pro, Super Adventure Hand looks clean with no aliasing in sight. Not to mention that it also ran at a perfect 60 fps.

The only real drawback is that the camera will sometimes move on its own, usually to an un-optimized angle. Thankfully, you can re-adjust it with the right analog.

If you are a fan of platformers, then Super Adventure Hand is an absolute must play.
