How to get your Astro’s Playroom save file ready for Astro Bot

Before playing the new Astro-Bot title, there are a few steps you should take in Astro’s Playroom in order to properly prepare for the sequel.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you rescue the four special bots in Astro’s Playroom. They will travel with you when you go on your new journey. Use the following video I made as a reference:

Lady Maria Bot

The first of these is in Renderforest. At the start of this level, make your way to the Bloodborne Bot. From there, stand on the large blade of grass to reveal the location of the Lady Maria Bot.

You then need to look for a clock on the tree stump. Once you find it, stand next to it and then press the Options button on the controller.

You then need to enter 24, 11 and 2015. This is the release date for The Old Hunter expansion of Bloodborne. The Lady Maria Bot will be freed.

Selene Bot

The next Special Bot is located in the Data Deepspace level. On the fourth checkpoint, clear all the enemies and then move forward on the edge that extends from the large purple grass to reveal the Selene Bot.

Afterwards, pick up your gun and defeat the wave of enemies.

On the next part, avoid hurting the green enemies and then make your way to the rooftop. You should spot an astronaut doll lying on the ground.

You need to stand on that spot while getting hit by the green enemies in order to free the Selene Bot.

Gran Turismo Driver Bot

The third Special Bot is located on the Bot Beach level. To find the Gran Turismo Driver Bot, you need to step on four starfish in sequence.

You should find the first one underneath a bridge to the right when you get off the big slide.

The next is located on the shoreline close to the big umbrella.

You should then head back to the aforementioned bridge and then go towards the palm tree where the next starfish is located.

Finally, step on the starfish next to the left pipe.

When the Gran Turismo Driver Bot is revealed, pay attention to the racing track that appeared on the capsule since you will need it to complete a puzzle.

Next, head over to the other pipe.

Once you get there, knock away the shell to reveal the steering wheel. You should then press the Options button on the controller.

Afterwards, follow the racing path that was on the capsule. If done correctly, you should free the Gran Turismo Driver Bot.

Ape Escape Monkey Bot

The final bot is located on Gutsy Gateway. At the start of this level, you need to set up two tight ropes. Afterwards, backtrack to the beginning to grab a rocket.

You should then head to where the Ape Escape bot is and then use the rocket on a hidden platform from the edge.

Before doing anything else, press all of the directional pad buttons. You need to remember the different dances since you need to copy the monkey’s moves.

Once you are ready, make your way through the level until you get to a tree next to a couch. Use a spin attack and then quickly grab the banana.

Afterwards, return to the monkey’s capsule. You then need to mimic the monkey’s dance in order to free the bot.

Moving on to Astro Bot

Once you have saved all the Special Bots, you need to go through the portal in PlayStation Labo.

In this new location, you should be able to make your way to the new Astro Bot game. The four Special Bots you saved earlier should be there waiting for you.
