I recently got a chance to play through Yellowcreek Stories – The Cabin Watcher on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by JanduSoft.

Trophy Tips:
The first missable trophy is located in the second area of the game where you need to go shopping. Outside of the store, go as close as possible to the police car with the sirens active in order to unlock Curious.
The second missable trophy is located at the very end. Once you equip the gun, I recommend uploading your save file to the cloud if you have PlayStation Plus in case you mess up and need to reload; otherwise, you have to start the game all over again.
To get the second missable trophy easily, go to the PS5 system menu and then navigate over to Settings, Accessibility, Controllers, and then Custom Button Assignment for DualSense Wireless Controller. From there, make sure the Enable Custom Button Assignments is turned on and then select Customize Button Assignments. Finally, switch the R2 button to Square and then select Apply.
Return to the game continue on with the ending sequence. As soon as you pick up the gun, rapidly press square until you kill the target. Since the aiming reticle is already perfectly lined up, do not move the analog stick at all. If done correctly, you should unlock Perfect Shot.

- Context-building beginning.
- Simple horror game that doesn’t overstay its welcome.

Overall:
Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher is a first-person horror game where you need to escape from the deranged individual.
While the beginning starts out slow, it does a nice job at adding a lot of contexts in addition to slowly building up the tension of what’s to come.
Once the horror actually begins, you will need to carefully sneak around the stalker. Using the flashlight and running may help you navigate the environment but these actions will also expose you to your potential killer. As a result, you have to find the right balance in order to survive.
Even if you die, you won’t make much progress. In fact, the game doesn’t overstay its welcome as you can easily beat the game in less than an hour.
The only real issue is that some of the environmental interactions can be finicky, which can be quite troublesome with a stalker chasing you.
Overall, if you are looking for a short and sweet interactive slasher film, then you should definitely take a look at Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher.
