I recently got a chance to play around an hour of the campaign from Taco Tom 2 on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Penguin Pop Games.
You can find my gameplay video below:
You can also check out my first impressions of Taco Tom 2 below:
Pros:
- Fun and simple puzzle game.
- Charming story mode.
- Multiple difficult settings, arcade mode and multiplayer.
Cons:
- None.
Overall:
Taco Tom 2 is a puzzle game where you play as a taco crust whose job is to collect falling ingredients to complete a taco. You must collect all five ingredients without any repeats; otherwise, you have to start all over again.
While it may look simple as first, the stages in the story mode become increasingly more complicated. Thankfully, you also have some useful skills, such as being able to dash to avoid walls in addition to being able to speed up or slow down time.
The action can get intense and, once you get in a nice rhythmn, quite addicting.
The plot in the story mode can be quite random, but also very charming at times. Outside of that, you can also play the arcade mode, which focuses on gameplay, as well as versus multiplayer.
So, if you enjoy puzzle games, make sure you give Taco Tom 2 a shot.
