Resident Evil Requiem on PS5 Pro: Ray Tracing Comparison

This video compares the visuals of Resident Evil Requiem running on the PlayStation 5 Pro with ray tracing enabled versus disabled. By having ray tracing enabled, the game uses PSSR 2.0 for upscaling. With it disabled, Requiem uses a different upscaler.

As you can probably see, the ray tracing mode features better lighting, shadow quality and reflection. On the PlayStation 5 Pro, the visuals appear sharper with ray tracing turned on.

With that said, this effect and exhibit artifacts in some of the darker areas such as the policeman’s cap. The ray tracing mode also appear to feature less rain and lower anisotropic filtering in the opening street section.
