Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy on PS5 Pro – First Impressions

I recently got a chance to play the first 90 minutes of Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy on the PlayStation 5 Pro, Renaissance PR.

You can find my gameplay video below:

You can find my first impressions of Red Nun’s Legacy below:

Pros:

  • High production values.
  • Intriguing and disturbing story.
  • Intense stealth-based survivor horror.

Cons:

  • None.

Overall:

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy is a third-person stealth-based survivor-horror game.

This is the first game in the series to be built with Unreal Engine 5, and the results are quite excellent on the PlayStation 5 Pro. Both the character models and environment are highly detailed. The animations, particularly the creepy nuns, are excellent as well. Not to mention that the lip sync is also on point.

Red Nun’s Legacy is the third and final game of the trilogy, with the older two being set to be remastered using Unreal Engine 5 as well. Based on the sequel, the other two games should get a very nice visual boost.

In terms of story, you find yourself lost in a mysterious location when searching for your missing daughter. The plot that unfolds is quite intriguing but, at the same time, is very disturbing.

When it comes to gameplay, you mainly hide and run from enemies. The nuns will move disturbingly and will yell when chasing you.

To counter, you can throw objects to stun or distract them. You can also use defensive items if you get caught in a hold. To successfully hide, you can crawl under chairs or tuck yourself away in closets.

Since you can’t fight back, each encounter with these stalkers can be quite intense. With the disturbing story and creepy atmosphere to boot, Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy is a can’t miss game for those seeking a true survivor horror experience.
