Quest Arrest on PS5 Pro: Mini Review

I recently got a chance to play through Quest Arrest on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Ratalaika Games.

You can find my gameplay video below:

You can also find my mini review of Quest Arrest below:

Pros:

  • Interesting mix of Cops and Pokemon.
  • Rewind, fast forward and save states.

Cons:

  • Glitched trophies.

Overall:

Quest Arrest is a game with a lot of interesting ideas as it mixes Cops with Pokemon. Originally a homebrew for the Game Boy, this title lets you explore a small city as a detective solving interconnected crimes.

Along the way, there are several opportunities where you can make good cop or bad cop choices. You can also build up your credibility by taking certain actions such as arresting criminals instead of killing them.

Having enough credibility will unlock certain perks like an additional save point, being able to skip a battle, as well as convincing a distressed person not to jump off a bridge.

When you have to fight, you enter into a turn-based battle that is very similar to Pokemon. In fact, you can even arrest criminals if their health gets low enough.

While all of these interesting ideas aren’t fully realized due to Quest Arrest being relatively short, the game is still a lot of fun and kept me engaged throughout.

The only real issue I have is the trophy glitches. Three of the trophies did not unlock even though I’m certain I met the requirements. They are Killer, Bank Robbery and Good Cop Bad Cop.
