Pros:
- Beautiful 2D graphics.
- Disney-like orchestra soundtrack.

Overall:
Princess of the Water Lilies is a 2D platformer where you play as a kitten trying to save your frog family from robots. To do so, you can use your paws and magic purrs to interact with or break objects. You can only get hit once, which means you will die early and often. Luckily, there are plenty of checkpoints.
What makes Princess of the Water Lilies stand out is its excellent presentation. The game features beautiful 2D graphics to go along with a Disney-like orchestra soundtrack. It feels like you are playing a classic animated movie.
The boss fights are spectacles as you will often fight these giants that take up the majority of the screen. These battles are also quite long with multiple stages.
The only minor complaint with the game is that the same boss fights are also major difficulty spikes. You will die way more in these sections than the rest of the playthrough, even with the easiest difficulty setting.
If you don’t mind the challenging boss fights, then Princess of the Water Lilies is a great platformer with a beautiful presentation. If you are a fan of the genre and/or classic animated films, then this is a can’t miss.
