Pawbay on PS5 Pro: First Impressions

I recently got to play around a hour of Pawbay on the PlayStation 5, thanks to a review code sent by COMMANDO PANDA.

You can find my gameplay below:

You can also check out my impressions of Pawbay below:

Pros:

  • Play as a mischievous cat.
  • A lot of fun trophies.
  • Interesting open-world medieval town.

Cons:

  • Distracting foliage flicker.
  • Awkward background music pauses.

Overall:

Pawbay is a semi open world where you play as a cat wreaking havoc in a small medieval town. You can steal coin pouches, trip over running boys, scratch objects and, of course, knock stuff off of high places.

While there are objectives to follow, including doing some good deeds, you can explore and do anything you want from the start. The game even rewards you with trophies and achievements by being mischevious.

The only downsides are tech related. As you may notice in the video, the foliage on trees and bushes keep flickering. Not to mention there are awkward pauses in the background music.

Even with the negatives, Pawbay is a very enjoyable cat game where you get to mess with the inhabitants of a small town.
