JBL PartyBox 110: How to pair, update firmware, play from USB, check battery and factory reset

The PartyBox 110 is the latest portable party speaker from JBL.

How to pair the JBL PartyBox 110 to another Bluetooth device

In order to pair the PartyBox 110 to another Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone, you need to do the following:

1. First, make sure that you enable Bluetooth on the other device.

For this example, we will be using an Android smartphone. You can get to the Bluetooth menu by dragging the top panel down and then tapping the gear icon. Next, you need to select “Connected devices” and then Bluetooth.

2. You need to move the party speaker and the other device near each other. The PartyBox 110 has a maximum Bluetooth range of around 33 feet.

You should also make sure that there isn’t any objects or other wireless connections that may weakened the Bluetooth connection.

3. Press the Bluetooth button located on the top of the speaker. The Bluetooth button light should start blinking.

4. On the screen of the other device, you should see JBL Party Box 110. Tap it to pair the speaker. The blinking light of the Bluetooth button should turn solid.

On the Android phone, you need to tap “Pair new device” from the aforementioned Bluetooth menu to find the JBL Party Box 110.

How to set up True Wireless Stereo with JBL PartyBox 110

The JBL PartyBox 110 supports True Wireless Stereo (TWS), which lets you pair two of the same speaker models together to enable stereo playback.

In order to use this feature, you need to take the following steps:

1. First off, you need two JBL PartyBox 110 speakers for TWS.

2. Move the speakers close together. The maximum Bluetooth range is approximately 33 feet.

3. Turn on both speakers.

4. Press the TWS buttons on the back of two speakers.

How to update the JBL PartyBox 110 firmware

In order to updated the firmware for the JBL PartyBox 110, you need to take the following steps:

1. On a compatible device (such as smartphone or tablet), download and install the JBL PartyBox app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Pair, if you haven’t done so already, and connect the PartyBox 110 speaker to the compatible device that have the JBL PartyBox app installed.

3. Open the JBL PartBox app.

4. You should find the option to update the JBL PartyBox 110 speaker to its latest firmware in the Settings of the JBL PartBox app.

How to play audio from USB device on JBL PartyBox 110

To play audio from a USB device, you need to do the following:

1. First off, make sure the USB device you are connecting to the JBL PartyBox 110 is using either the FAT16 or FAT32 format.

2. The audio files on the USB device should be in the following formats:

  • .mp3
  • .wma
  • .wav

3. Connect the USB device to the USB Type-A port located on the back of the JBL PartyBox 110.

How to check battery status for JBL PartyBox 110

To check the remaining battery life of the JBL PartyBox 110, you need to take the following steps:

1. Find the LED power indicator, which is located below the Power button on the top side of the speaker.

2. If the LED is fully white, then it indicates that you have at least 80% of battery life left.

3. If the LED light is half white and half black, then it indicates that you have between 15% to 80% of battery life left on the speaker.

4. If the LED light is black and red, then it indicates that you have less than 15% battery life left on the speaker.

Keep in mind that rechargeable batteries tend to degrade over time when you recharge them. So, we recommend recharging the JBL PartyBox 110 only when it gets down to 15%.

The PartyBox 110 has a battery life of up to 12 hours. It can take 3.5 hours to recharge the portable speaker.

How to factory reset the JBL PartyBox 110

Resetting the JBL PartyBox 110 will restore the speaker to its original factory settings.

If you are interested in doing so, you need to do the following:

1. Turn on your JBL PartyBox 110.

2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Lights buttons for at least 10 seconds.

The speaker will automatically turn off and then turn back on again.
