In Trusted Hands (PS5 Pro): First Impressions

Recently, I got to played around the first hour of In Trusted Hands on the PlayStation 5 Pro. You can find the video I captured, with no commentary, below (review code provided by Games Harbor LTD):

You can read by quick impressions on In Trusted Hands below:

Pros:

  • Simple but super addictive “shop simulator” gameplay.
  • Additional depth with moral dilemmas such as choosing money over customer privacy.
  • Relaxing music sets the mood.

Cons:

  • Outside of the simple QTE repairs, there is not much interactivity. You will spend almost all of the game looking at menus and static screens.

Overall:

In Trusted Hands is a game where you run a small phone repair business. Outside of a simple QTE timing mini game when doing repairs, you will spend the game looking at various menus and static scenes.

Despite its simplicity, I found the gameplay loop to be extremely addictive once you get the hang of dealing with customers, ordering parts and doing repairs. The excellent relaxing soundtrack also adds a lot to the atmosphere.

The game also has some added depth as you often will be put into situations where you either choose money or protect your customers’ privacy. In the story mode, you can also go on dates and visit other areas on occasion.

Overall, In Trusted Hands has a very addicting gameplay loop. If you enjoy the shop simulator games, then In Trusted Hands is a very polished experience worth checking out.
