This Seeking Tech tutorial will explain how you can go to Mysidia near the beginning of Final Fantasy II. While this can be done in the other versions of the game, the Pixel Remaster version makes it incredibly easy.
1. To start off, you need to first gain access to the canoe. If you haven’t done so already, played through the beginning sections of the story until Minwu joins your party.
2. With a canoe on hand, turn off random encounters. Otherwise, you will run into enemies that can easily wipe out your entire party.
To disable encounters, press down on the right analog stick. You can also do so from the Boost menu.
3. Next, make your way southwest of Altair until you see a town to the left of a mountain range.
4. Inside of Mysidia you will be able purchase spells such as Barrier, Wall, Swap and Holy.
In terms of armor, you can buy Ice Shield, Knight’s Armor, Thief’s Gloves and Giant’s Gloves.
When it comes to weapons, you can get the Power Staff, Flame Lance, Ogrekiller and Ice Bow.
