To reach the Dread Pirate rank, you need to get 90 points with your pirate ship. You will get 1 point for sinking a ship or 2 points if you capture the ship instead.
To make these fights easier, target single ships with your canons pointed at the target’s backside.
Once you get enough points, you should unlock this trophy.
