How to reset the Ring Glass Break Sensor
In order to reset your Ring Glass Break Sensor, you need to take the following steps:
1. First off, open the Ring App on your smartphone or mobile device.
2. In the Ring App, select Menu.
3. You then need to select Devices.
4. Select the Alarm Base Station.
5. Select your Ring Glass Break Sensor.
6. Select Device Settings.
7. Select Remove.
8. After removing the Ring Glass Break Sensor from the Ring App, you then need to physically detach it from your mounting bracket if you have it mounted.
9. You then need to twist the back cover off of the sensor.
10. With the back cover off, you should be able to see the Reset button. Use a paperclip, toothpick or similar tool to press the button.
11. The LED light should be displaying a red light for 3 seconds, which indicates that the device has been reset.
12. Afterwards, you can either set the Ring Glass Break Sensor up again or just store it. If you are storing the sensor, then you need to make sure you remove the batteries from the battery compartment of the device.
13. If you are planning to use the sensor again, you have to go through the set up process once again.
How to factory reset the Ring Glass Break Sensor
To factory reset your Ring Glass Break Sensor, you need to do the following:
1. To begin, open the Ring App on your phone or mobile device.
2. After opening the Ring App, go to Menu.
3. You then need to go to Devices.
4. In Devices, go to Alarm Base Station.
5. Select the Ring Glass Break Sensor you want to remove.
6. Next, you need to go to Device Settings.
7. Finally, select Remove to remove the glass breaking sensor from the Ring App.
8. With the Ring Glass Break Sensor removed from the Ring App, remove the device from the mounting bracket if it is mounted.
9. Twist the back cover off of the Glass Break Sensor.
10. Use a paperclip, toothpick or another similar tool to press and hold down the Reset button for around 10 seconds. The LED should flash green. Once the flashing green light stops, you can release the Reset button.
11. The LED light will then display red for 3 seconds.
12. If you don’t plan on using the Ring Glass Break Sensor immediately after factory resetting the device, then we recommend removing its batteries.
13. If you plan on using the device again, then you need set it up again.
