How to enable mobile hotspot on Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra

In order to enable mobile hotspot on your Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ or Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, you need to take the following steps:

1. On your Samsung tablet, open the Settings App.

2. After opening the Settings App, you then need to tap Connections.

3. In the Connections menu, you have to tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.

4. Afterwards, tap Mobile Hotspot.

5. Finally, make sure that the switch next to the Mobile Hotspot setting is turned on.

6. We recommend that you tap Configure, which will let your set up the hotspot network name, password, security level and Wi-Fi band.

There are also additional settings under the Advanced option in the Mobile Hotspot if you need to do additional tinkering with this feature.

7. In the same Mobile Hotspot menu, you may also want to turn on the Auto Hotspot.

With this feature, the other device will automatically connect to the Mobile Hotspot if you are signed into the same Samsung account on both devices.

How to connect a device to the Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ or S8 Ultra mobile hotspot

In order to connect a device to the mobile hotspot you created on your Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus or S8 Ultra, you need to do the following:

1. On the other device, you need to run on its Wi-Fi connection if you haven’t done so already.

2. In the Wi-Fi menu of the other device, it should be able to scan the mobile hotspot you created on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ or Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

3. Select the mobile hotspot on the Wi-Fi menu of the other device.

If the other device isn’t already signed into the same Samsung account as your tablet, then you need to enter the password you previously set up from the network.

If the other device supports QR scanning, then you can tap the QR Code in the Mobile Hotspot menu of your tablet and then use the camera of the other device to scan the code to quickly connect the two devices.
