How to fix the ‘Bethesda.net has reported an error’ issue in Redfall

Before you can start playing Redfall on your PC, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you need to sign into your Bethesda account. If you don’t have a current account, then you can create a new one. When you select the Create Account option, you may get the following error message:

  • “Bethesda.net has reported an error. Please try again. If the problem persists, please visit http://help.bethesda.net. Error: 6006.”

To see how you can fix this issue, you can take a look at this troubleshooting article from Seeking Tech.

1. For the first step, you can try to create the account again from within the game. If you are still in the Error screen, then you can select Back or Cancel to return to the login screen. From there, you can then select the Create Account option again.

There is a possibility that the Bethesda servers are experiencing problems at the moment. Therefore, you may need to wait for a little bit before trying to sign up by using the in-game option.

2. Alternatively, you can try signing up from the official Bethesda website by using a web browser. Once you get there, select the Log In / Sign Up option located on the top right side and the Sign Up in the pop-up window.

Once you signed up, make sure you verify your account from the email message that will be sent to you.

Next, you need to go back to the log in screen from within Redfall and then select Login. Input the user name and password you previously entered through the official Bethesda website through a web browser.

You should now be able to log into your Bethesda account and start playing Redfall. The good news is that you should only have to manually log in one time. The next time you need to boot up the game, you should automatically logged into your account.

3. If you still can’t create an account from a web browser, then we suggest visiting the help page from Bethesda website for additional support.
