In order to make your Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor functional, you must be able to connect the device to the Ring Base Station.

1. The first step we recommend taking is to press the setup button on the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor.
2. If you don’t see any lights coming from the sensor, then it may not be powered on. In this case, we recommend replacing all three batteries. To find out how to do so, you can take a look at this article.
3. If you see the sensor blinking three green lights at a time, then it means that it is ready to be connected.
To complete the setup, you need to take the following steps:
- Open the Ring App on your smartphone or mobile device.
- Inside the application, tap Set Up a Device.
- You then need to tap Security.
- Afterwards, tap Sensors.
- The app should be able to locate the Glass Break Sensor. If not, then you need to press the Setup button again.
4. If you are sure that you have properly set up your Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor and/or the light indicator on the device is displaying a blinking red, then you can try moving the sensor and the Ring Base Station closer together.
5. You should also make sure that there aren’t too many solid objects in between the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor and Ring Base Station as the wireless communication for these two devices may be weakened.
6. Moreover, you should make sure that there aren’t any other wireless devices in between or nearby the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor and Ring Base Station as these may also interfere with the wireless communication.

8. If the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor gets too cold or too cold, then it may not connect properly.
For the uninformed, the sensor should be operated within a recommended temperature range of 32°F to 120°F (or 0°C to 49°C).
9. If none of the aforementioned potential solutions help fix your connection issues, then you can try removing the battery of the glass breaking sensor and then put them back in again.
