The reason you are seeing the “panel refresh did not finish” notification is due to the functionality being interrupted before it could finih. The process may have been stopped due to the following:

  • Your BRAVIA XR A80K, A90K or A95K may have been turned on while the panel refresh was currently running.
  • The power cord may have been unplugged during the process.
  • You may have a power outage or interruption while the panel refresh was occurring.
  • The feature may have also stopped if the room temperature became too cold or too hot.

In order to fix this error, you can try taking the following steps:

1. To start off, make sure that your room temperature is somewhere 50°F to 104°F (or 10°C to 40°C). Outside of this range, the refresh process may end up stopping.

2. With the room temperature within the recommend range, you then need to manually enable this function.

In order to do so, use the TV remote in order to open the Settings menu of your A80K, A90K or A95K. Afterwards, you need to go to Display & Sound > Expert Panel Settings > Panel Refresh.

3. During the panel refresh process, it is important that you do not turn on the television set or unplug its power cord from the power outlet.

Keep in mind that the refresh process may take up to one hour to complete.
