1. To start off, it is important to note that cross-network play is not supported in the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Instead, only PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S players can match up with each other.
The good news is that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are cross-buy as you can upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5 and from the Xbox One to the Xbox Series X/Xbox Series S at no additional costs.
So, if possible, try to play the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S version of the game.
2. If you are playing on the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, then you should also make sure that you have cross-play enabled.
In order to check, open the Settings menu of your Xbox console. From there, select Account > Privacy and Online Safety > Xbox Privacy > View Details and Customize > Communication and Multiplayer. From there, make sure that the “You can join cross-network play” setting is set to Allow.
3. If you are playing on PC or PS5, then you need to open the Options menu in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and then navigate over to the Game tab. Once you get there, make sure that Crossplay is enabled.
