When using the Amazon Halo View, you may have trouble connecting the device with the Amazon Halo app on your smartphone. The fitness tracker may also show data that look off.
You can check out this troubleshooting tutorial at Seeking Tech to see how you can resolve both of these issues.
1. The first step we recommend taking is to make sure that your Amazon Halo View is connected to the Amazon Halo app.
On your phone, open the Halo app, swipe down from the top of the screen and then go to Settings. Next to your fitness tracker icon, you should see whether or not it is connected.
2. You can also try syncing the tracker to your phone.
On the screen of your Halo View, press the home button. Next, you need to swipe downwards from the top of the screen and then select Settings. Finally, select Sync.
3. You should also make sure that your phone, which should have the Amazon Halo app installed on it, is less than 10 feet away from the Amazon Halo View.
4. Moreover, you should check to see if there aren’t any obstacles between the line of sight between the fitness tracker and your phone.
5. You should also avoid any wireless interferences by moving away from being nearby any microwave ovens, Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones and other devices that use wireless communications.
6. If you are outdoors, then the Bluetooth signal will be weaker due to the open air. Therefore, you should move the Halo View as close to possible to your phone.
7. You should also make sure that your phone is either connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
8. You can try closing the Amazon Halo app and then reopening it again.
9. Moreover, you can try disabling and the enabling the Bluetooth connection on your smartphone.
On the Android operating system, you can disable and enable Bluetooth by going to your phone’s Settings and then Connected Devices.
On the iOS, you can turn off and on the Bluetooth connection by going to your phone’s Setting and then heading to the Bluetooth menu.
10. You can try restarting the Amazon Halo View by pressing the home button on the screen of the tracker, swiping downwards from the top and selecting Settings. Next, select Restart and then confirm your selection to start the process.
11. Moreover, make sure that your fitness tracker has been charged.
12. You may also want to turn off your phone and then turn it back on again.
13. If none of the aforementioned potential solution help resolve the connection and inaccurate data issues, then you might want to factory reset the fitness tracker.
