The hardest and rarest enemy in Final Fantasy I Pixel Remaster is Warmech. In this guide at Seeking Tech, I will explain how you can find and defeat this enemy.
Location
The Warmech is located on the fifth and final floor of The Flying Fortress. So, you need to make your way there.
Once you get to the bridge area, run back and forward until you trigger a battle with Marmech. If you haven’t beaten the boss in the same area yet, make sure you don’t run too far north.
Encounter Rate
There is a 1 in 64 chance of Warmech appear in a random battle. So, you can use this opportunity to level up your party. It is also important that you keep your party members near full health after every encounter so that you won’t be in a vulnerable state when you finally run into your target..
Battle Strategies
The higher level you are, the better off you will be fighting Warmech when you finally encounter it.
Warmech will heal 100 HP every turn. It will either attack one person or attack the entire party with its Nuke ability. The enemy may also run away if you take too much time. Fortunately, it only has 2000 HP.
If you are still at a lower level, then I recommend that you have one party member heal every round and the other focus on dealing as much damage as possible. Physical attacks work the best as the enemy has no elemental weaknesses.
Beating Warmech will add it to the Bestiary section, which will help you if you are hunting for the Field Research trophies and achievements.
