1. To start off, make sure that your game console is using a HDMI 2.1 cable.
The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and Xbox Series X come with a HDMI 2.1 cable included. On the other hand, the Xbox Series S only comes with a HDMI 2.0 cable.
2. You should also make sure that the firmware of your system has been updated. This is especially important for the PS5 and PS5 Digital Editions as these consoles did not work with VRR at launch.
3. It is also a good idea to update the firmware of your QN85B or QN90B as well as doing so may fix bugs and improve performance.
4. Once you are ready, connect your PS5, PS5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S to one of the HDMI 2.1 ports of your QN85B or QN90B.
5. Next, you need to make sure that Game Mode has been enabled on your 2022 Samsung Neo QLED 4K Smart TV.
In order to check the display mode of your QN85B or QN90B, you need to take the following steps:
- Press the home button on the TV remote.
- Next, you need to select the Menu option, which has the three horizontal lines icon.
- You then need to select Settings.
- Afterwards, select the down directional icon.
- You then have to select Game Mode.
- Finally, make sure that Game Mode is set to Auto.
6. With Game Mode activated, the Variable Refresh Rate feature will automatically be enabled as well.
