In order to turn on the Do Not Disturb mode for your Google Pixel 6a, you can try doing the following:
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings menu.
2. In the Quick Settings menu, you should be able to find the Do Not Disturb setting.
3. To turn this mode on, you need to make tap the Do Not Disturb setting.
If done correctly, you should see the icon, which looks like a minus sign inside of a circle, appear on the top right corner of the screen.
If you don’t see this setting in the Quick Settings menu, then you need to swipe down from the top of the screen to expanded the menu. If you still don’t see the Do Not Disturb mode, then you need to swipe to the right to see if is located on the next page of quick settings.
How to customize the Do Not Disturb mode on the Pixel 6a
In order to customize the Do Not Disturb mode on your Google Pixel 6a, you need to do the following:
1. Start by opening the Settings App of your Pixel 6a.
2. In Settings, you need to select Notifications.
3. Once you get to the Settings menu, you then need to select the Do Not Disturb option.
4. Inside of the Do Not Disturb menu, you can select the People option to add an exception for any person on your contact list. You can also select the App option to add any applications to the exception lists.
In the same menu, you can also select the “Alarms & other interruptions” option to choose whether or not to allow the following when you set your smartphone to the Do Not Disturb mode:
- Alarms
- Media sound
- Touch sounds
- Reminders
- Calendar events
With the “Schedule” option, you can set the time when the Do Not Disturb mode will automatically be activated.
With the “Duration for Quick Settings” option, you can set the duration for when this mode will remain active after you turn it on from the Quick Settings menu.
Last but not least, the “Display options for hidden notifications” setting will let you determine how you want notifications to be handled in the Do Not Disturb mode.

If you want to disable the Do Not Disturb mode on your Google Pixel 6a, then you need to take the following steps:
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings menu.
2. Tap the Do Not Disturb setting to turn it off. If done correctly, its icon (which is a minus sign inside of a circle), will no longer appear on the top right side of the screen.
