This Seeking Tech guide will show you how to beat Takezo without needing to dodge or parry.
In order to do so, follow the video and text tutorial below:
The main strategy is to use the Onryo’s Strike (L1 and R1) to disarm Takezo at the start of the fight. The boss should then try to pick up his weapon, which is when you can interrupt and essentially stun lock him for the rest of the battle.
Once he loses his weapon, switch over to the Dual Katana and hit him 3 to 4 times with Light Attacks.
Immediately after the attack combo, use a quick-fire weapon (Kunai, Metsubushi, Smoke Bomb or Tanzutsu) to open him up for another round of light attacks with your Dual Katana.
If he blocks or dodges the initial quick-fire weapon, quickly throw another one at him again before he gets a chance to grab his weapon.
If he does pick up his weapon, use Onryo’s Strike again to disarm him and then repeat the process until he is defeated.
