Hamventure is a puzzle platformer where every jump will either activate or deactivate traps. These include spinning saws, spinning hammers, and hidden spikes.
Instead of being a platformer that relies on quick reflexes, Hamventure forces you to think about your next step. Jumping in place is a good strategy as it will reveal the traps to help plan your course of action.
The game has a lot of charm going for it, thanks to its cute piglet main character, detailed pixel environment, and whimsical soundtrack.
The only real negative is the lack of level select. Once you beat the game, you will be stuck at level 40. The only way to replay the other stages is to delete your save and start from the beginning.
Aside from that, Hamventure is a great slow-placed platforming game that requires a lot of problem-solving. If you are looking for a fun and unique platformer, then make sure to give this one a shot.
