I recently got a chance to play around an hour of Far Lands on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Axyos Games Entertainment.
You can watch my gameplay video below:
You can also check out my first impressions of Far Lands below:
Pros:
- Dangerous open-world.
- Online co-op.
Cons:
- Technical issues.
Overall:
Far Lands is a survival crafting game where you are tasked with infiltrating an island that is home to zombies and hostile soldiers.
In order to survive, you need to craft tools, build structures, and scavenge resources. The island is quite dangerous as enemies can appear and attack. The zombies, especially, are willing to chase after at extremely long distances.
The best way to play is with others online as this game supports online co-op. By doing so, you will be able to multitask as well as fight enemies in groups.
Unfortunately, Far Lands suffers from some technical issues. For one, the game will stutter every time it auto saves. There is also one occasion where the enemy got stuck in a doorway, locking me in, forcing me to use the unstuck function.
Although I’m not sure if it is a bug, there seems to be a severe lack of mud to harvest, making it impossible to build a furnace.
If you don’t mind the technical flaws, then Far Lands can be a fun survival crafter, especially when playing with friends.
